What can be used as a (natural) dehumidifier for clothes getting mildewy ?

Cedar. I don't think its available here but you could try to get some from the US or Europe.

When I lived in Darwin (similar weather conditions to LOS – maybe even more humid!) some many years ago - the norm was to put a low wattage bulb on 24/7 in the wardrobe. This keeps the temperature slightly higher and reduces the relative humidity. That’s all I can suggest!
