KhunMarco
That was the smoothest landing I have ever experienced on Samui That was a cool video. I never arrived to Samui by plane, but I can imagine the excitement of the first-time-tourist " OMg , look at thaaaaat! ... Drool-drool, this s going to be good, I can tell you.... HolySh... the color of the water... geee, tell mum I'm not going back...Is that the airport or our resort?!? Beatiful! Khun Jean
It sure is an impressive sight. I like the early morning or sunset afternoon arrival. And the airport is one of the nicest i have seen. For take off's i like Athene. Was a long time ago. In Athene they have to put on the throttle a lot and make a sharp turn to avoid flying over the city. It gives you a lot of 'force' feedback. Another impressive landing is the maldives. It is so much more fun if you can schedule to arrive at daytime.
LaoPo
And the airport is one of the nicest i have seen. I agree and think it still is the most 'boutique' airport I've seen. LaoPo

limbos
What do you mean rip off, Samui Coconut. Are you happy with the current situation where all kinds of resort/hotel vans and cars park along the road next to the airport, increasing road safety there? Rooo
Limbos, I think he means the car park across the road. It went up from 10 to 20 Baht. Edited April 3, 2006 by Rooo
