  1. Ok found this thread, hope it is still active. After reading, I like to know:

    1) Not much report on food and drinks. I am a spoiled person. If I spend the whole afternoon till closing, I need to eat and rest my legs in a nice place for a well-blended iced coffee drink, is there such a place ? Many cafes to chosse from ?

    2) Are there any more events or diferences between weekday and weekends, beside the crowds ?

    3) In a shared songteaw for the return, can i get down anywhere in the city ?

    4) Is the 100 baht extra for the transport inside worth it ? Is it well managed, with good signs ? Need much waiting time at every stop ? I rather walk the area if too much time is wasted in waiting.

I have attended the previous one and I quite enjoyed it although it's not "world-class" but "Asia-class" is good enough, you don't see so many flowers in anywhere else in Thailand.

I tried to buy the advance ticket from a bank as advertised few months ago but none of the bank staffs know about it, that really pissed me; but it's forgivable Thailand. Their smiles gave the therapy.

I attended the Doi Suthep one someone mentioned above. The garden is actually not big but I enjoyed the Palace Tour which is a good insight into the Queen's life.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I have been trying to search info on this event but can't find any reports about it.

    Have anyone visited it ?

How is it compared to the previous one held few years ago ?

Where to get board their shuttle bus ?

  3. We stay at Chiang Rai and wish to make a day trip to the Golden Triangle and spend as much time as possible there but return to sleep at Mae Sai.

Is it easy to do it on our own with public transport ?

How much will it cost per person if we join a tour group in Chiang Rai ? Will the return trip pass Mae Sai if we wish to get off there ?

How long is the bus trip from Chiang Rai or Mae Sai ?

    Thanks.

  4. i hate airasia, the Internet prices are never valid as advertised. They've been tricking the public for years.

I do agree that they are not very honest but their Malaysia and Thailand management are quite different.

Thailand Airasia entertain refunds very fast and they don't make charges that are not stated in their conditions.

Malaysia Airasia is really bad. Very few people managed to get their airport tax refund for missed flights. They either don't process for you by claiming their sales offices in KL are just agents for selling tickets and not their office or they process for you, no news and 2 months later; claim that their office never received them and it already expired. In some cases, they give you the refunds but some amount deducted for admin fees(which Thailand side don't).

Indeed, they are not very honest, judged from their terms and conditions and procedures. The plus side is their fare is still cheap(even after the recent hike in some fees) if you can book one year ahead.

  5. Thanks jaiyen17

Problem is if I know BKK is really flooded badly, I need to change plan and buy flight tickets before too late. Then I will have no chance to find out from their counter. I guess if their bus trip is not cancelled, I am sure many people will need the seats. At least I can let others have them and not wasted.

I managed to trace their website www.nca.co.th but there is no english.

Can someone who knows thai visit their website and check how I can write to them(which page, column to click etc) ? Hopefully, there is a enquiry form to fill in. I will write in in English to try my luck.
