the credibility goes down the toilet ... again ... like any other day
in other countries actions like that would create a breeding ground for some dangerous and radical individuals ... but not in the "mai-bpen-rai" state

Jesus. Dropping like flies at the moment aint we.
depends on the location, i guess

He agreed jet ski scammers are a priority, but he offered no definitive plans to tackle them.
It will be very hard to catch them in the act I am sure. They are very cunning at hiding and almost impossible to find.
please forgive me if i am wrong but ....
isn't it the case that every jetski has to be properly insured?
get rid of all uninsured jetskis .... should solve the problem, shouldn't it?
and if the jetski owners complain (too expensive and other crap) ... get rid of them as well.

uhm ... attacked ...

i can see shattered glass in front of the mcD in that video.
i am not a bomb expert but if there would have been an explosion in front of it ... where's the glass supposed to be?
for me it looks like the explosion came from inside the building

so how do you change policies and conditions of laws without changing them?
the title of this thread says differenti just don't understand why it's always the unofficial way first before they come up with officialy announced law changes.Law hasn't changed.
New Deportation Condition Changes!
The LAW is unchanged.

This scheme had only two goals in the beginning and still remains. 1. Vote buying. 2. The piggies at the trough becoming richer through corruption.
exactly
the govt presents stupid schemes and ideas on a daily basis. how about keeping the face for once in a while and figure something out that can actually work?

Showing the video on TV and asking the public for assistance would probably help in capturing these men, as for where to place CCTV cameras, areas where the crime rate is highest?
not if the pink motorbike would be registered to someone influental ....
ok, perhaps i'm getting too "x-filed"
but seriousely....wouldn't be the first time

7 hours for 166 Km.
What's the average speed?
the whole trip takes 7 h
166 km is the distance from vientiane to that village .... now add the distance from udon to vientiane .... don't forget waiting time at immigration just in case stupid foreigners were unable to fill out easy paperwork
so ... 7 hours seems realistic

@Lopburi3
thanks for the info. i have doubts that this would be anything official since i cannot find any source.
But:
it has been mentioned in 2 issues of german newspapers (tip and farang)
jomtien and korat immigration are asking for additional documents.
still, i cannot fint any proof of those new regulations.
what i mean is....if there would be changes like that....the forum would be full of it, right?
i have to do the 90 days report in a couple of days and will only present the 47 and my passport.
just in case he asks me for additional docs.....i will get them out of my bag :-)
-
hello,
can anybody confirm or deny the following statement i have heard from several foreigners living in the buriram province:
the immigration in chok chai (korat) wants additional documents for the 90 day report:
- copy of blue housebook signed by wife
- copy of latest power bill (signed)
- copy of wifes id or passport (also signed)
sounds very weird to me....
i got my 1 year permission of stay nearly 3 months ago...
why do they want that stuff for a regular 90 day report?
people told me that the immigration in pattaya also asks for funny docs...
i don't have any problems prividing those docs, but i haven't seen anything on the internet yet and i just want to ... is it true or jsut another stupid farang rumor?
- copy of blue housebook signed by wife

-
anyone else experienced veeery slow internet with tot landline in isaan today?
-
thanks for the response.
the travelling shade sellers, yes, they pass through our village.
when my wife asked them about the shade design, the two guys shook their heads and said that they've never heard of THAT kind.
i don't want the "bamboo-stick-attached-90-degrees-to-the-wall" version with those heavy dark blue mats.
i've googled a lot and it seems that those awnings are more common in the northwestern area.
i will check Buriram to get more info.
thanks again
