1. Brother of GF, who lives in Ban Kruat, had shells landing in his property yesterday......

absolutely NO shells in Ban Kruat......please do not spread panic

we have already enough problems here

Absolutely, in the district yes, but not in the town.

perhaps they have evacuated people in the Buriram province, but...

are there any shell impacts confirmed in Chan Thop Phet or Sai Taku?

i believe they only fire on Surin province soil....

    whatever......no fun at all

  2. still firing....for 3 hours now

    another thing:

do they have advanced scouts? i don't think so. it seems they shoot randomly, without a plan.

so all the advanced technology would be a waste ....

those two armies are like eunuchs:

they maybe know how to do it......but they can't

  3. Thanapong said the number of accidents had dropped because relevant officials and organisations had strictly enforced laws against drunk driving, speeding and the failure to wear crash helmets.

uhm...yeah, i beleive that right away. no checkpoints in my area (isaan). they just sat at the main junction, offering water to thirsty drivers, while having a bottle of lao khao or harassing bystanders with their guns....

  4. Since 6:30 I thaught it was thunder, but Ban Kruat and Ta Muan are about 40 km...

artillery shells do not use roads ..... Ban Kruat is only 10-15 km away from Ta Muan

so when the cambodians bring the 205 mm.......better go to Prakhon Chai :-((

  5. i wonder why there is no helicopter or jet in the air...........nothing!

no troops movement at an important junction near our home.....just an ordinary day for the people i guess

even near the thai army outpost in sai toh 1.....just normal....

i don't get it....been in the army (artillery).....absolutely no western logic behind those strategies.....

some things we will never understand.......even after years......

  6. strong exchange of artillery fire.

20 to 30 shot can be heard each minute, without a break.

a series of thai shots.....then a series of khmer shots.

heavier stuff than yesterday. our windows are shaking after every shot. 20 kilometers away.

perhaps they use 105mm or 135 mm now......yesterday only 35mm......

    .....time to get worried :-((

  7. playtime is over now.....it's a signal fot those thailand clowns with an attitude.

no matter what color their shirt is.

7 cambodian politicians entering thailand (or a disputed area).....imagine that.....

the thais would have done exactly the same

hun sen keeps them as bargain and after releasing those 2 idiots in the near future he is the political messiah (again).

and of course he will praise himself for that generous gesture on state tv.

    TiT

    TiC

btw, the thai army brought some howitzers to the border area today (maybe they want to bomb them free)

  8. Oh look, Thailand cooking up some story that it's an investment friendly environment.

    hey...that was my qoute

i can't wait fot the annual statistics. 20 to 500% more business, investments, tourists.....yadda yadda

cambodia, vietnam.....even laos. they brought thailand behind them in the race for foreign investment.

IF there is any country in SE-asia where it is more dufficult to open a business a/o to invest.....it's myanmar (perhaps)

    :D

  9. You would need to watch your passport as the Cambodian visa is a FULL page everytime for Visa and that can burn through a passport pretty dam_n quick if travelling regularly.

He can apply for the business visa when entering cambodia. it's 5 bucks more than the tourist visa. within a month he should visit one of those motorbike rental crooks in phnom penh (i'm assuming that he will be in PP), give them his passport and about $260. a day later he can pick up his passport with a multi entry business visa. so, for one year he will only have 2 (two) full page cambodia visas in his passport (the initial one and the 2nd issued in phnom penh valid for a year). after that he will get only one full page cambodia visa each year.

Oh and one more thing......it's so much fun going from thailand to cambodia with a multi entry visa from cambodia.....cause it costs you absolutely NOTHING to enter cambodia.....and believe me....looking at those pi$$ed off cambodian border cons when they can't get a dime from you......a pleasure :-)

  10. Done mine with my wife, got all the documents they required. Two visits in all. No backhanders nothing, just a nice smile to the boss at the Office.

exactly the same here....no issues at all....not even asking for tea money

second visit included a little chit-chat with the mayor at the local amphoe (10 mins max)

"have a coke and a smile and <deleted>" <-------- worked good for me :)

  11. Hi,

I am looking forward to buy a Thai Ridgeback dog (about 4-5 months old).

I know, you can get them in BKK .... but i would prefer a dog from a local dog breeder.

Anyone knows a good dog breeder in Isaan?

Buriram or Surin area would be great.

    Ciao

  12. I have a 3 M/bit landline with TOT (near Buriram).

Everything was fine since July last year.

While downloading files from my rapidshare account i had an average download speed of 350 kilobyte/second.

Since 3 days i barely can get 50 kilobyte per second.

Anyone else with the same problem?

I am running Win 7 and haven't installed anything new. No setttings has been changed. An my computer is absolutely virus free.

    Any ideas?
