  1. I would be way more concerned about your habit of watching guests get dressed.
  2. 555 thats a great line ???? ????
  3. No. I have been up and down the Laos border the last 3 months. Where I was it was far, far more bush burning than agro leftovers. It's not ONE thing, its is ALL those things. Bush, crops, garbage, if it burns they will light it!.
  4. Lived and worked here since 2008, I politely disagree. They know they cant trust another Thai as far as they can throw them. They're just better than us at getting into predicaments.
  5. I'm not allergic to bee stings. Got bit back of the neck by an asian hornet (murder hornet) while on motorcycle. Pulled over and fell to the ground, throat closed up etc.. Ambulance came got me drove me to next town where I got a shot. Epi pens were 5000 baht and hard to get at the time. Nurses just filled two syringes, put them in a childs pencil case and asked if I was ok with that, I was.
  6. or, get drunk, get wet, party to enormous crappy speakers volume maxed. ????
  7. I have been travelling Loei to Nan weekly for the last month. Back highways along Laos border. Currently it's all bush burning and ditch burning in this strip. They drag loose brush from 5 meters up a slope and pile it roadside. Later(currently) it's lit. Last two days I saw 6 locations where PEA and TOT trucks were repairing long stretches of melted wire. Sign posts, road markers also burnt. This is just one type of fire out of 20(?). I don't see how PEA and TOT stay quiet about their losses. Ironically the ash will create a lot of nitrogen for the soil and the growth they are 'controlling' will grow back twice as strong. Sigh. Also random fields, random bush, huge fires deep in the mountains where I assume they are clearing land or burning corn waste. It's burn whatever burns season, varies by location. It's like the firebugs have some kind of immunity. No one ever charged.
  8. I don't know a lot about hemp but I thought 2 meters would be more common.
  9. Ive had apartments where the elec was higher than the rent due to 9 baht per unit. Is it really illegal? The rate is mentioned in ads and Ive always received a detailed receipt.
  10. Travelling in North Thailand along the Laos border. Lots of fires of course, of all natures, rice waste, corn, clear cut, garbage, etc etc Here's something I noticed through quite a few areas. They have "raked' from 5 meters up the hills down into the ditch. Branches, leaves, trees. This is not a mushroom area, this is not someones field. This is cleaning government land the cheap and easy way. The money for clearing the scrub and burning must be indirectly coming from the govt. And yeah, the little firebugs scatter as soon as they hear a vehicle.
  11. I like this policy. They had it back in 2008 as well. It effectively helps those that need assistance, and me. ????
  12. No, but some of these ill informed comments are...
  13. Yes, fixed it right up. I didn't want to spend the money either... but really there was no choice as cornering was goofed up. Not all Kawasaki service centres are equal, make sure you pick one with good mechanics, or find a private mechanic with good skills. Piston Shop in CNX did mine, everything was good.
  14. Bent mine in a very minor hit. 15,000 to replace by reputable shop in Chiang Mai. Handled much better of course. I'd go for OEM myself. edit:2011 ER6n
  15. Personal attack, nice. Also very poor reading comprehension if that is your conclusion. " the tip you do not need to pay" It makes me wonder if you understand what a "tip" is? It's only 3 letters. As far as I am aware you never HAVE to "tip" anywhere. Maybe check Websters for a clearer understanding.
  16. I got two CofR in the last 5 months. Drop off the paperwork, pop back in a couple hours with 500 in hand and pick up my paper. I don't mind at all. Its usually the only 'tip' they get from me and in the past they have patiently helped me with retirement visa, non b visas, and overlooked errors which would have cost me money at other IOs. Give and take.
  17. I'll bet none. Most people don't care what other people do if it doesn't affect them directly.
  18. I've always made edibles with butter or olive oil. I put my crushed but not ground weed in a jar, put the lid on loosely. In the oven for 40 minutes at 220 to decarb. Leave it cool, then I add butter and put the jar in a rice cooker filled with water. let it simmer for a couple hours. Drain and strain when hot, I don't grind so I can use a tea strainer, if you grind best run it through a coffee filter. One tablespoon of butter into 1/4 cup of hot chocolate, drink it. This isn't a gourmet way to do it but it is consistent for dosage. I never get 'high' off edibles, but good sleep and good for circulation. Edibles affect different people in different ways, some folks get high some don't. (experience of group of friends) https://emilykylenutrition.com/stovetop-cannabutter/ Thats basically how I do it, but I fill my jar at least to 3/4s. 30 grams weed-1 lb butter.
  19. I'm curious about this. If your end product is edibles why not make butter instead of oil? Cheaper and easier and way safer, but I suspect you have reasons. ???? I thought the thread was for oil to smoke, made in a similar matter.
  20. Quite honoured to get a 1 year badge, going on 13 years now. It makes no sense to me, but, whatever.
  21. What I find funny is the split. 27,000 divided by 5-7 cops, plus a big tip for taxi driver. They temporarily messed up their lives and careers for what, 4000 baht each? What a joke.
  22. Glad you know all the terms, my point remains. Edit to add: Visa on arrival is currently 30 days according to Google.
  23. I politely disagree with that. I'll go out on a limb and say the vast majority of tourists in Thailand are on visa exempt. Visa on arrival currently 45 days, why would regular tourists bother with a formal visa.
