Smart system helps prevent children trapped inside school buses
marcusb replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Or they could just hire drivers with a little intelligence. -
Always grown indoors where I am the sun god. Exactly what triggers flowering in outdoor Sativa? I thought only ruderalis (?) (autos) went by elapsed time and not by light schedule change. I've been curious about this for a long time.

COVID-19 infections on the rise among people not fully vaccinated
marcusb replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Heres what I see, personal experience here. Kids that got covid keep getting sick, not with covid, but they are sick. Better for a week, back at school and sick again. Again, not saying covid, some schools in Canada are experiencing 30-50% absentee from sickness. Not covid, but chest colds, lung infections, etc. There is NO children Tylenol available in Canada, the shelves are empty. I'm not in a panic, but we certainly aren't out of the woods yet. -
Type, doesn't matter too much LED HID or possibly fluorescent. HID I'd say you need 250 watts. Location, above the plant. Distance depends on style and heat of lamp. Close enough that plant doesn't stretch, far enough it doesn't burn. 12 inches for HID timing, 18 hrs on 6 off. of the 3 timing is most critical, IMHO

Thai Democrats threaten to scrap Cannabis and Hemp Bill
marcusb replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think any future laws regarding cannabis will be as effective as the current helmet law. Its too late, Thais have embraced it. ???? No going back. -
Imported Cali weed grown with Plant Growth Regulators (PGR's)
marcusb replied to tomster's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
true, but friendly hormones. Most growers are using colloidal silver to get fems. Of course no one smokes the plant or section of the plant but it is pretty icky stuff. That said, I prefer fems. As an indoor grower its easier to plan. Interesting thread, growing for myself I prefer airy buds compared to those rock hard nugs, much easier to roll. -
Putting cars and bikes in an Expat name
marcusb replied to thejudgegiles's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Last month I needed Cert for registration, not purchasing. For certificate I needed, rental contract and house book and ID copies from landlord. A photo and 500 baht (yeah I know) and my retirement visa. done in 4 hours. Selling Ive never needed a cert but buyer HAD to have copies of my valid Non B. Edit: never seen an issue selling out of province if buyer gets the correct paperwork from you. -
Kawasaki 650R 09 consuming a lot of oil?
marcusb replied to Kawazaki650R's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Buy a litre of oil. Top it up when needed. Take it for a good long ride open it up a couple times. keep an eye on it. Oils cheap, do some testing yourself, find the problem. Even if you sacrifice a whole litre you should be able to narrow down the problem. You seem to be missing bits of info like did you inspect and feel the old oil that came out of it. If you didn't do that you are wasting your time. It takes very little water to destroy oil, I'm guessing thats not your problem. As someone else said do a wet dry compression test, takes 10 minutes. 100 baht. Get your numbers, go home figure out if thats the problem. -
It's actually very difficult for a school to cancel a contract without paying a severance. Labour board has a good scale on exactly what the funds should be. Unfortunately missing 3 or more consecutive days without proper notice is grounds for instant dismissal and no severance. Thai labour codes are easy to find and easy to read, not filled with legal jargon.

Had a friend who rented big bikes for quite a few years. Passport or no bike. No rentals to Thais. he upset a few people but he never lost bikes.

Irregardless of how one views the topic, she has courage. She could have got a crowd response on any number of topics, she didn't do this just for 'likes'. I care more about her speaking out, which in my opinion Thais need to do a bit more. She knew before she spoke that she is going to upset some important people. She did it anyhow. Great job, young lady hope there are no consequences for you.

Three edicts issued to tighten controls on use of cannabis in food
marcusb replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And 99% of the time it will do absolutely nothing for you except add a bit of fibre to your diet. -
All this psycho analysis of Thai mask wearing habits by professional forum members is so enlightening. Peer pressure, fashionable, conforming. Maybe, just maybe they don't want to get sick. Why on earth do the mask wearers annoy the non mask wearers, don't say it doesn't it obviously does. I don't care if someone wears socks with sandals, don't care if folks wear stained oversized wife beaters to go 'out", don't care if someone wears a helmet or not. Why would I care if others prefer to mask? None of my business.

Its a re-purposed food dehydrator. It will work but the buds will smell and taste like hay. Way too fast of a dry.
