  2. I have heard that the cars might be 6 years old In Japan

But they wind back to clocks on the cars

So it look as thought they have only done a small amount of KM

So always beware what you buy could be actually Worn Out From Japan

I would try the Local Dealer first

    They could be cheaper

As they have he technology to say what is worng

As others do not like to work on cars that have different ways of working

  3. Take bank statements, Centre link statement, etc to prove they're fair dinkum.

However, I think Immigration are only interested in what you've got in the bank here in Thailand, not in Oz, unless interest or whatever is transferring here..

Hope you've worked out what you'll do with the increase in the pension starting tomorrow. 300baht a fortnight! whoooppee.

Yea but with the Australian $ dropping

Who knows what will happen in the future

They are talking about it dropping further

I hope it does not change too much

    Also

Does anyone have address or Phone No for the Consulate

If so can it be sent to my PM

    Thanks

  4. An aftershock is like an echo - making it related to the main shock. Many of those "aftershocks" mentioned in the OP are actually new earthquakes that may have occurred AFTER the May earthquake. The only relation to the main quake is that the stress was relieved. Like one a group of dudes - then one dude says he's gotta piss, the next dudes suddenly get the urge to piss. But pisser Nbr. 1is unique from pisser nbr. 2 or 3. To be honest, I would rather have more frequent but lower intensity quakes and have a very long quake-less period. That is very much like keeping the fart in and when you can't hold it anymore - end up with an ear-shattering fart. Apologies for the analogy. ha ha...

I was there in July when the 4.3 at 8 30 at nigh,t had the whole house shhok

    Was my First Thai earthquake

    Will be many more

The way it is going on

    Plus

There are more earthquake all over the world

So something is happening to cause all this

Has anyone ant Thoughts On This??

  6. This looks like it's intended for "in bound tourists" who stay a max of 60 days. Interesting that they do offer "annual cover", but it still plainly says that it covers maximum of 60 days per trip. I don't think it's intended for people with non-immigrant O visas with annual marriage/retirement extensions.

Also the upper age is 70.

Still, a very good plan for tourists. They'd be well advised to purchase it.

Its a pity that there is not any medical Cover for over 65 retired people.

Pity that the latest medical scheme was abandoned for foreigners

  7. Also

Wattanaosott Pharmacy,182 ChateonmuangRoad. Go over Nararat bridge away from the city.First set of traffic lights,10 metres on the right. He speaks good English and I have found he undercuts most other pharmacies. The phone number is 053-241430.

I used him Monday to check out my medication

    He knows his stuff

  8. I have that policy for 4 years now. Just got my renew notice and new premium is 97k! What now?

Is your agent playing games with you? It's possible. A friend of mine (same age as me) paid 56k for BUPA platinum and I pay 45.6k currently.

I will be having a meeting to discuds this at the office after bhuda days......i have been very happy with bupa until this renewal. My policy also covers my wife so....actually prem was 62k last year. Now 97k for the 2 of us. Ridiculous!

    It can be Age Related

I have looked in the past\t it depends on age then the premiums go up accordingly.

  9. the current gubberment is weening out all those DSPers who became such during the Labor years.

Labor cooked the Unemployment figures, by having the Assessment Procedures enable the transferring of substantial numbers of unemployed, over to the DSP.

This then reduced the Unemployment figures.

    Abbott's getting this corrected finally...

The restriction of DSP o'seas travel is gunna hurt, yes!

But, as one these recipients, who qualified for DSP back 12 years ago, I have no scare of having to go through the Medical process again.

When I went through the initial long process, I was assessed against the 15 hours/week benchmark.

In my situation, I was assessed against a more stringent 8 hours/week ex-military disability retirement procedure, so the DSP test is nothing for this little black duck to worry about (next time round)

The re-assessments are going to become a very effective means of weening out the:

    1. 'fake' DSP recipients.

    2. Doctors who were in on the Labor scam

Obviously you do not know all.

It was actually the Liberals with John Howard who started it in his last term.

Then he tried to get as many off DSP as he could.

He did the damage and then labour got the blame.

    All this happen in 2005
