I have a long historie of driving LPG in The Netherlands and now here I have LPG in a Mitsubishi Cyclone with a Toyota V sixcilinder engine
a thing wich is populair to do here.My dad in law has a Volvo 960 with the same engine
It runs just as well on fuel as on LPG ,idle and on speed to and I feel no differents in power to

quote from wikipedia.
LPG is prepared by refining petroleum or "wet" natural gas, and is almost entirely derived from fossil fuel sources, being manufactured during the refining of petroleum (crude oil), or extracted from petroleum or natural gas streams as they emerge from the ground. It was first produced in 1910 by Dr. Walter Snelling, and the first commercial products appeared in 1912. It currently provides about 3% of all energy consumed, and burns relatively cleanly with no soot and very few sulfur emissions. As it is a gas, it does not pose ground or water pollution hazards, but it can cause air pollution. LPG has a typical specific calorific value of 46.1 MJ/kg compared with 42.5 MJ/kg for fuel oil and 43.5 MJ/kg for premium grade petrol (gasoline).[6] However, its energy density per volume unit of 26 MJ/L is lower than either that of petrol or fuel oil, as its relative density is lower (about 0.5—0.58, compared to 0.71—0.77 for gasoline).
So because of the lower density it gives slightly lower power in your engine.

My experience is it is very arbitrary, after sending and recieving about 30 packages most of the time it go through
unchecked but if they investigate your package and there are bikeparts in there they make a form and you need to pay
On this form are 2 kind of taxes al together its about 1/3 of the value.
Bringing it with the lugage doesn t mean you no need to pay when they see boxes they most of the time
let you open this and then its same procedure.
There is no minimum value for it the criteria is bike parts there is a import law for this .

Peace and harmony please.....
There are enough natural disasters, illnesses, poverty and many more to deal with.
Surely there are much better things to do.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
No peace and harmony both party s are to stupid for this and stand to far away from each other aswell .
We are lucky there is the one border hurting the toerist sector.
From the past we know this can happen easy, actually it did happen twice over the last 3 years.
First with the yellows on the airport and later the riots in Bkk.
The visa bussnes would serious decline to without tourists, starting as a tourist many of them become visa needed.
After the riceprofits tourists is the big income here.
For the Thaksins there are no better thinks to do then this thats the problem you gattered power and money in the past buying
of stupid people with few 100 bahts for there votes or other services and avoid to pay tax.
Ofcourse you didn t change because it went well ,so to come back legal in your country is your major interrest.
Im even suprised it took them so long to come with this stupid bill maybe they needed to find the right moment to lounge it.
Al the trouble you wrote they just don t care about this, this is why there is a lot of poverty with out any social securitysystem and the land still overflods almost every year
Yes after your house ,car and other things are flushed away you get few 100 bahts again for your trouble haha.
Thats Thailand .

Does it drink a lot of diesel?
Depends on wich engine you chose 2.5 diesels handgear of 2005 for instance don t use a lot when you buy a 3 liter turbo
combined with an automatic and a heavy right foot It will use a lot.

Arthurwait thanks for your reply. I'm not in a rush to sale honestly, I don't mind if it take me 1-2 months to sell the car. Many people telling me that I should be getting between 1 million to 1.1x million if I sell it directly. I will get less, maybe around 900 000k if I sell with Honda or a second hand dealer but it would be faster. People seem to say that Honda vehicle have a good resale value . Also with the fact that my CRV is 4-5 months with only 15 000 kilometers, still on warranty and in perfect condition, I guess I can get a good price for it.
Jitar. Thanks a lot for the info. With what I see so far I think I should try to sell it directly for around 1m to 1.1m baths. I think I will ask probably around 1.1m to start to give me a margin in case people would like to negotiate the price.
Yes they have a good resale value when they are this young dont let it go under a million.
And don t listen to buyer seller stories sell to a new owner for him/her self if possible.

Hartelijk Bedankt to You, or Obrigardo in my Language.
The dutch are here the majority and you know we are famous for ower cheapness so its obvious we like LPG to
Nee, we zijn niet allemaal nederlandstalig over hier. Toch is het waar dat Nederlanders echt gierig zijn. Dus hun liefde voor LPG.
We never say ""over hier"" close but no sigar your not a dutchman

L.P.G. Thats Land of Smiles. Poverty Group. i think.
Obviously you don't fill up at LPG stations. Late model Merc's, Camrys, big Nissans, all sorts of cars and owners. Most look like high mileage guys. Oh and taxis in BKK.
Never liked Gas personally, hi klics or not.
As they say "Up to you". Even VW and the like are making LPG cars now, Better for the environment and all that guff.
LPG=
Lekker Potje Grolsch (Dutch: good pint of beer)
Hoe schoon ze de dieselmotor ook maken op LPG rijden blijft schoner.
Not just look like high mileage guys they are high mileage guys this is the reason to use LPG and take the extra wear out of your engine for
granted because in the end its still cheaper.

I got stopped, hasn't drinked and they still asked for a brib of 500 baht (or i could wait for hours for nothing on the road), another guy was very drunk and they asked him 5000 baht to go but he got no money and spent the night in jail, i don't know what happened to him.
Drink or not it's the same if they stop you, you need to pay anyway. The more you drink the more you pay.
Not always reading here police are the real bad ones always wich isn t thrue.
I have 2 stories they behave in my advantage without getting any money for this.
I could be the only one with this
-
I have the idea the police won t give away this info

Its the heather in the defogger whats missing not the defogger itself this works fine as long as tempertures are high enough.
Because the air comming from the airco is dryer when it comes out the extracted water is under your car.
The only decent solution in colder area s is to make an heath exchanger just above your cold exchanger in the system and a manual operated
valve made in the interior opening and closing this valve in the hose comming from the cilinderhead under the hood .
A handy thai can do it
It also will give you more comfort in cold nights and mornings

Shame on me I just fitted a 2nd hand wing mirror on my bike.....tutut
If this is about safety I think they need to concentrate on other issues first like road awareness and the enforcement of helmet law
I still believe the campaign is about "Beware of fake parts". And this makes sense of course.
Now that's put a new slant on it. Selling fake part that are of inferior quality is a very bad thing. I think people that do that should be in jail for a long time.
So you want to put half of the thai population in jail
-
When its a campaign against fake parts we no need to ask where it comes from the USA.
This thing is going on for some years now fake lolex watches are not in the open for sale anymore.
But are still there

Looks like I am on borrowed time ....my pick-ups has just turned 4 years old
thanks for all the positive responses it is very much appreciated
Cheer
I had 8 years with the same battery the original one from the isuzu factory .
And it still wasn t al that bad but the misses left the lights on for a hole day and that must have unloaded it to far
Suprised me a lot and I thought it was the lack of never have to do a real cold start like in my home country.
There they al go down in 3 /4 years

Reminds me of my Pompous Friend years ago. He avoided buying the Bar Girls Family preference for 2 or more years.. He asked me to say nothing So i took him to buy the Yaris, they were new then . When it came to his address the Sales Person told him . Solly Ferang cant own House in Thailand, whats your Hotel Please . It was an entertaining dance he did before storming out. He did buy it later using a Hotel Registration eventually. He is now a Free Man, his Companion kicked him out.... No House that he paid for anymore, just an old Yaris he loves.
He lost the house? He just build it like that for her? I guess that bitch could not touch the car then
Yes.Thats all he got left, but hes just one of many,as all the Old Hands here have witnessed first hand.
Yes we are the risq takers so we should be respected for this

Well done Kimi Raikonen and Lotus to

Ding ding ding, I am awake now!
30% diesel in with the benzene not a big problem, but as stated changing the fuel filter would be a good move....after you use up the dodgy mix!
With some spare sparkplugs and a sparkplug wrench
-
Will be very smokey but if you use it in Bangkok who will notice
yes we will. The days of the smokey green buses are long gone.

Yes but the old pick ups with wrong adjusted fuel pumps and warren out injectors and the 2 strokes bikes on baking oil and the colorfull trucks with big exhaust pipes
for making extra smoke curtains they are al there.
-
If the second hand part fits the specs and has plenty of life left, where's the problem?
Companies that sell new parts will suffer?
Hardly my problem. When you go into business you have to be prepared for all sorts of opposition.
Exactly and also thai people will do whats best for there wallet and not follow any advices buying new stuff if its there secondhand
in good shape.
I have seen them walk away over 200 baht.

Oh running a petrol or LPG station isn't that profitable if you have to pay rent or buy the land, it is if you owned the land from when it was worth very little. Using the land for generating more money is were the money is easily made up.
As you may have guessed LPG would be making the least. Stick with petrol and diesel and go to the oldest station there is, it's much less likely they'll need to rip you off.
Don t forget they no have serious costs for the people who pump in the LPG for you.
They are most of the time young womans or boys who don t get more then 300 baht a day or maybe even less who knows.
Today I drove 265 km with a filled up tank after this put in 500 baht 36 liters only al this with a 15 year old 6 cilinder 2.5 liter engine automatic car
You try this with a 15 year old diesel 2.5 automatic it will run 1 liter 9 km and I will need 29 liters of diesel almost 900 baht
So reading between the lines and on the basis of what you say, only someone who is pedantic would make a fuss over the cost of LPG when it is common knowledge that it is one of the 2 cheapest fuels available in LOS, the other being NG.
If you drive as much as we do some 70k a year you make a fuss at any fuel and at any station if they make the wrong price for you.
-
Is it dangerous for a 12 year old benzin motor to mix together with diesel around 30 Prozent?
Not dangerous but it will stop after a while with black sparkplugs.
Get the mixture out of the tank and fill it up with petrol problem solved.
-
Did someone make a mistake at the servo? I had a dipshit up country do that. Put about 5 litres of benzene in when the tank was down near empty. I took it steady for the 20 or so K to the next servo with diesel. Done 3000K since then with no probs.
5 liters of petrol a diesel engine can handle if you fill it up al the way with diesel after this.
hom much can i save on fuel?

Most CNG powered cars drive with 2 tanks one for gasoline and the other is the high pressure CNG tank.
Because of the very big differents in price I think you can reduce fuel costs to 4000 baht a month now
But the Thai goverment has plans to bring up the price to 15 baht a kg and then your advantage reduces
to only 8000-6000 = 2000
