If you really want to help someone you have to first understand that not everything is positive. It is very good and helpful to highlight the positive. But you need to keep it real. Other than that I am sure your intentions are in the right place.

We are not all the same. I prefer critical thinking, compassion, and right action over painting over uncomfortable aspects of life. I am glad for you that you have found a way to put a positive spin on your reality. But there is a lot of horrible things in this world and those who refuse to see it as it is are also those who are unable to make any positive change about it.
If someone tried to comfort me after my daughter had been killed in an accident by trying to put a positive spin on it. I would be enraged and likely more damaged than before. Decent and useful people would accept my grief and suffer with me.
Here's one for you. A child has been sick and getting worse for over a year, the doctors say he will never get better and will eventually die. Now show me the bright side so I can tell the parents.

I assume that this is how it goes. Expats from higher tier nations moan more when living in lower tier nations..
I am assuming that the Japanese and Singapore expats moan quite a lot in Thailand, while the closer neighbors have lower expectations.

At least they didn't just roll over and take it. Good for them. Hope the trial is fair.

Guys who have been in the same marriage here for more than ten years and have kept their nose clean and contributed to the economy and have children who are Thai citizens, should at least get the same deal as the foreign ladies. But nope, they prefer to leave us at the mercy of the changing visa rules and forcing us leave the country every 3 months.
Since when do foreigner males with Thai spouse or retirement visas have to leave the country every three months?
Without going into detail, my extension of stay gets me a 90 day stamp each time I cross a border.

Human politics will either extinguish us or knock us back to small populations long before we have to worry about the climate.
The next 100 years will not pass without a world war.

What changes have been made that force you to leave the country every 90 days?
I suppose if you don't meet the basic requirements..., but there haven't been any significant changes to them.
At the mercy of rules that may change at any time in this land of political musical chairs. Citizenship brings some security and that is my point.. I would be a citizen by now if I had the right plumbing.
And my particular visa does require I leave every 90 days. I know there are other options but not a fit for every situation.

If the topless offender had been a young nubile lass there would be a lot less righteous indignation.

Quite a few attributes omitted from the list. The OP apparently sees only height and frame, whereas I get lost in the detailing.
