At the moment in relation to the pound it is 39.8 on Superrich. If anything the baht has strengthened in the last few days against that currency.
Rooster
Carney reducing the Bank of England interest rates back to 0.25% hasn't helped any.

You dont necessarily need to slow down on bends just stay on your own side of the road and away from the centre line.

You really want to breathe in that water?

I'm waiting for the panic to set in and then sell them for a nice profit!
No offense but......I hope you get burned on the deal.

Unless you are dealing with Iran I wouldn't be calling it the Gulf of Persia. The others don't like it!

Even today in many areas of Bangkok the pm 2.5 was above 57mg/m3. The pollution is still right there.
Well done for taking action and protesting the government's inaction.
Over 200 outside my house in CNX yesterday. Fully expect it to go over 400 again when the height of the burning takes place.

I had a trigger finger operated on by Prof. Sudhee about 5 years ago. 10 minutes and done. Dr. Morgan gave me a second injection for another trigger finger a few days ago. She recommended that for surgery I should go to a hand specialist doctor who has a clinic on the canal road as he can do the op in house. I am across the other side of the country at the moment but can get the Doctors Name and PM next week if you like.

But I loved it there and had many memorable experiences. I am pleased to see that the country is opening up at last. Saudis are actually very friendly and hospitable people and I'm sure they will go to great lengths to make their news guests welcome.
I spent many years working for and out of there and every other country in the region. Memorable yes, but obviously my experiences were different from yours. You may wish to visit but don't take anything with you. No music, no movies, laptops may have their batteries confiscated otherwise the whole item. No articles pertaining to any other faith is permitted to name but a few. Enjoy!

Not so great if you just spend one night in another province and then have to do a 50km plus round trip to immigration even if you are lucky enough to be seen quickly. Hopefully the authorities will find that it is not always necessary!

Normally house owners must report any foreigner staying on their premises within 24 hours - this means that my wife must report me when I arrive to her place from an overseas trip.
However nobody cares and nobody does it.
Hotels and guesthouses have an automatic reporting system that reports you when you check in.
Once you have a TM30 in your passport you can go by yourself to immigration for an update with any subsequent entry. The fine is 800B for you and 800B for the landlord if you are late. In Chiang Mai immigration have threatened many times that they would not accept 90 day reports unless a TM30 was present. A couple were stopped by the Police on the road and fined for not having it a while back. It has gone quiet on that front of late but the threat is still there.

You need to get out more and travel around a bit, same in many other countries, your not being singled out for more repetitive paperwork just because your hereAnd you need to calm down a bit. Been travelling around the world for the past 45 years and no one has asked where I frequent before, not even in the old USSR. The obvious answer to that of course is the immigration office.

Contour GPS bought as used once on ebay for 5000b some while ago. Battery life about 2 hours. Batteries are a relabelled Nokia battery available most places. Uses micro SD up to 32gb. Newer versions may have better features.

I got my progressives from the optical centre close to the U.N. Irish pub. They did a good eye exam and 2 years on they are still good. I have had a couple in the fashionable shops on the lower floor of airport plaza. They were rubbish and a waste of money.

I use Sri Thai via a local bike dealer in CNX you can also find an insurance company on GT-Riders website that will give an online quote.

I found Good speed in Computer Plaza to be very helpful and willing to match prices when I bought an Asus notebook last year.

Brommers is spot on. Does the machine vent its heat into the space its trying to cool? If so, forget about it.
At a guess the OP is on about the AJ portable aircon. There are a couple more brands knocking around. There is an exhaust on the back of the machine to which a flexible trunking can be attached which can then vent the heat outside through a convenient hole. This limits their portability and for my money I would look at why the current system doesn't work but if another unit is necessary then a fixed unit may be better.

Telling them to stay on their side of the road and dont overtake on blind mountain corners would help. Thought that was common sense though!

I am afraid you are a little late. Maejo Man has been in Aussie for some little while. I was one of the beneficiaries!Hi. It may be a little late but I am just finishing my specialist Koi pond and looking to begin to stock it. If your Koi are still available I a certain I can give them a good home. I hope hey are disease free but in any case I will house them in my quarantine tank first. Kevin.

Never had a problem with mine but the BMW motorbike agent here in Chiang Mai has a less than enviable reputation. I am surprised BMW have not taken their motorbike situation in tbis country more seriously!https://www.yahoo.com/autos/s/makes-most-reliable-motorcycle-100025261.html
Hard finding a mech to fix your beemer outside BKK?
Here in Phuket BMW proper closed down the dealer (Barcelona) and now there is a dedicated BMW Motorrad dealer called Siam Motorrad. Let's see how they will fair in the future. But regardless of dealers they seem to have quality problems the past years. Quite a shame.
Really interesting how these premium brands have the lowest quality ratings. Yamaha is doing lots of things very right since past year, I just hope they start making bikes locally here.
Mine is a 10 year old RT. It has never given a problem although it has never been left at Barcelona. A friends bike was and it has never been right since. I wonder if that is the source of the unreliability. Interesting that BMW has taken that action although I think they need to do this for the whole country. To get a flavour of the local agent read GT rider, you would never take your bike back to their agent again!

Ok so it is a motor we are dealing with as well as control circuits. Depending on how well its made it may have protection device(s) which may have blown or tripped. I think you would have to be very lucky though. The problem with the motor apart from voltage 110 versus 220 is also frequency, 60hz versus 50hz. Your motor even if voltage corrected may be running slower than it would otherwise. This would depend on the control system employed although probably not an issue in this case as it will be variable speed anyway. I would guess that the damage was done before the motor moved which would suggest control circuit failure. Fingers crossed its an internal fuse or breaker! If it isnt then I am afraid it would probably cheaper to buy a new one. I wouldnt hazard a guess as to where the best place to take it for a quick check would be.
Northern region still dogged by air pollution
