  1. I saw one listed on-line and IIRC it was in Central Festival, but could not find the place. Suffice to say, if there is one, it is a closely guarded secret.
  2. Not in Pattaya area......
  3. I see your point and agree, but a Standing Order doesn't really work well for something that varies (varies upward, of late) each month. I once heard a comment a direct debit was difficult to cancel too. With all the options of how to pay nowadays seems unnecessary, a trip to a 7-11, scan a code, online etc etc.
  4. They seem to manage just fine, and are up in time for a nice fry up.
  5. Rhetorical question or not? Because of course they do, and the TV, hairdryer, stained sheets and towels etc etc..... The deposit is the hook to ensure you give them time to check the room, before you go. They keep a price-list of room items ready! Strangely enough, magnetic key-cards don't seem to be an issue at the place i often stay.
  6. No, expect there is substantially more of it being dumped at the Pattaya side..... it will get washed back in evet high tide.
  7. Just got a new Daikin one from Lazada.... it was a bit expensive at over 800 baht but was OEM. Chinese substitutes are of course available too. The LG Service centre may be able to help, it is on Sukhumvit...near the motorway flyover...search in Google Maps.
  8. I just went to my Al Jazeera channel on Sophon and it is in English. Channel 807 digital.
  9. Not just the bargirls with elephant memories then....... Maids usually have a pass key..... seems harsh for her to get blamed.... it always goes downhill I suppose.
  10. And more baby talk from you..do grow up!
  11. That was not my experience... there was not even a log in requirement. I do not have the PEA app... in fact I have always avoided direct debit as I do not like them. I scan the bill from within my Thai bank app and hit pay. In the past I would turn on my phone with the Thai SIM in it in the UK and it would go to roaming on a network there.. and I could get SMS messages and I thought OTPs too... some years ago now.
  12. That is funnier than last weeks Lambo in the floods!
  13. Oh heck, didn't seem fair to mention the other side of Suk where it really gets bogged down... 2nd Rd too eh!
  14. My neighbour had the opposite experience.... suffice to say they have no qualms cutting you off if delinquent!
  15. Correct... I had to go to Krungthai...who make it very easy indeed, as one simply scans the bill's QR code and select pay!.
  16. Invading Ukraine was more 'in the second place' really, the annexation of The Crimea being move #1.
  17. The fee to sign off on that requirement will increase, and hence the amount the agents charge. I find more people these days don't hold the money.... likely as 800k is so much more in their home currency terms.
  18. Back seat tandem riders? OP seemed very specific about being 'behind the wheel'. Doesn't matter really, cannot be implemented. It would be possible after an accident to determine if a person was on the phone at the time of the incident, and thus could be prosecuted.
  19. Good luck with that..... can't see inside vehicles here anyhow. But you just know they are on the phone when driving behind them.
  20. I have seem PEA let it slip for a month, but the PWA will have the meter as quick as anything. There is a web site for PEA you can check your account on... but you need some number off the bill, or scan the QR code.
