I am not a fanboy of the man but I had just arrived into Thailand to live when he was in power. He seemed to be very active and involved in policies to reduce poverty.... leaders since have left me wondering what they want to achieve if anything. -

Not curious, just bored with all the banging on about them and lack of progress. (Personally hope they never come to be). Just another of those recurring topics like cancellation of 90 day reporting, new long term Visas and cures for the deadly driving standards here. (And of course huge tourist predictions from TAT!)

Yes it is... they had 2 separate pumps at many pubs. One was Extra chilled IIRC.

There are a few that have a lot of Opium use too....... the power of religion to tell people what to do eh! Not exactly sure on their position on these narcotics, but most Islamic countries are horrifically strict on dealers/ smugglers etc

I used up the last of my airmiles many years ago for a First one way Manchester-BKK. We of course left late as was usual.... but that flight was pretty good! I think they couldn't get the door shut, a shambles!

In reality if Sterling could perk up and not be in the doldrums of 1.20 and below (yes recently it has), and be closer to 1.50/USD we would be there.

After many years of good service I slowly got fed up of the offhand treatment and horror of transit in Heathrow..... and stopped using them. But I gave them a chance when a reasonably priced Club World ticket showed up 3 or so years ago..... an error on my part!

Yet more evidence of optimism in Thailand...... Part of a group of Asian countries on the up and up while European ones fail in strikes and energy issues.

With their currently capped capacity ex Heathrow and limited capability it makes sense for them to focus on more lucrative destinations.... Singapore would be an example.... Plenty of alternatives ex UK for Bangkok.... better ones I might add.
