  1. Yes many seem to be worried about the rule still being on the books, but there have been zero people picked on over this. Even many locals are not bothering ,,,,
  2. People are still being treated free in the UK.... every day. The choice is to wait or suffer on, as I see (and have seen) some do in Thailand.
  3. Some people are yes, often under the chin too. I don't know why they are dragging their heels on this, but if you want to wander the street of Pattaya mask-less, it is not an issue. Carry one for the Mall.... need to get out of the heat.
  4. Did the USA not just bump up interest rates yesterday....... I am expecting 35 to become 'consolidated'.......
  5. Ill health is a concern. Medical services are often expensive here and most retirees hail from places where it is supplied free.
  6. You know Indians can enjoy a good discussion!
  7. Maybe in the long grass just finishing off his micro nap.
  8. Used to be pot...... I expect there is metal in them too, that will certainly corrode in sea water.
  9. Yes, at least then one might stay clear...... It does say Moo 6 Pattaya City and 100 Moo 6 Pattaya Naklua . Doesn't help me much. A 'Moo' is a large area. I think one of these is near the railway station.
  10. Yes mine is a few years old now too, and decidedly tatty.
  11. I have no recollection of a reduction in fees... I recall some years ago a substantial rise in baht terms. I stopped going to them, I thought the charges were too high. I think you talk of a corresponding increase for Thais which affected the relation between Thai and foreign prices from 10x to 5x. That is not in reality a reduction in cost, just a reduction of the foreigner padding factor. Disingenuous to even try to present it as such!
  12. Wasn't the Non-Imm-O Multiple then cancelled or could not be issued nearby....? I certainly recall a lot of complaints from guys in your shoes (and those working offshore but living here) when it was. It might be a while, as they want to see a post Covid recovery, but before Covid, I would say they were making things harder for younger people to live here. Certainty not a climate of 'easing' this thread is about.
  13. My Mrs just gifted me one which is a good size, it would have been impolite to ask how much it was. My 3rd this season.. I am doing well.
