  1. Sounds like more, talk, talk, talk. Restrict heavy trucks, including those for construction to after midnight. (If govt can close the bars at midnight, it can stop all trucks after 6am.) No private vehicles on city roads in the downtown core, London model. Not only will both those reduce smog but also road dust. Time for BMA to DEMAND govt enforcement against burning in the provinces. Ahem, put the brakes on CP's greed. Overtime for ACTION, not measurement, assessment & talk. All that's been done before.
  2. Been bringing two 70lb suitcases filled with Costco, Trader Joe's, Amazon from the US & Canada for every person in my family every year for more than 30 years. Wine, too. Never a hassle, even when x-rayed. Deep-freeze smoked salmon & cheese, wrap in two layers of bubble wrap. It won't be frozen when you get here but it will still be cool, ready for your freezer.
  3. I guess Tony can't make wood anymore. There are greedy dinosaurs (the kind in power) & jealous dinosaurs (Na-liam). Populist, eh? And what's wrong the chandu, anyway???
  4. Idiot politicians! They'll be deep in underground bunkers for the rest of their lives when either arrogant country pushes the button. Right, let's distract the slaves from our climate future.
  5. That sure will fly! Maybe double-pricing weed will help...
  6. I grew up with painted wooden toilet seats. They have a nice, solid feel. They fit my <deleted>. I bought such a seat in North America & carried it in my suitcase. Went defective, brought it back for exchange (Lowe's or Home Depot) next summer. White paint wore thin. Spray-painted it. Now it's just too funky to fix. Upstairs has an IKEA wooden seat but they don't stock them anymore. Plastic feels cheap & is just not a good fit. Even the most expensive, Cotto, B2,000 at Homepro feels cheap. Any ideas for a good sit-down? I doubt there are wooden ones here. I don't think I'd be happy with a handmade one & hardware is a problem. If I order online, good chance I'm so fussy, I wouldn't like it, either. Ideas? TIA!
