  1. Sorry I have to agree with several comments here. The Thais got exactly what they voted for or what the politicians paid them for. And the current ruling party got exactly the consequences of their actions/inactions. But try telling either group that. Some of us on TV spoke to Inflation/ Recession at the same time before Ms. Puppet was elected. You can't do what she said she would do without it. But she did. And now Ms. Puppet needs 2.2 trillion Baht to keep the downhill slide going for the "puller of strings". Thais will never wake up as long as they have somebody to bitch at. No matter which side. That is what they learn on the television from the politicians. Cause they don't learn in school. The amount of people who can not read or write is higher now that it was 26 years ago when I got here. Even with the population increase more should be able to at least read and write than then. Say what you will but everybody in Thailand has gotten what they are owed, even me.

  2. ..... Maximum punishment is death.....

What kind of barbarity are we about to witness?

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

It appears it is 10 years for killing a cop with your car, but death for protesting. Most of the PM's cabinet should be on death row at this time.

  3. "It should be noted that the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra signed the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance on January 9, 2012".

She showed up to have her picture taken signing something. Did she even know what she was signing? Smile and look pretty for the camera.

  4. I'm surprised!!! tongue.png

All Thai should know that the "pay back"-part of a loan is not in the Thai dictionary.

There was a time when all my in-laws wanted to borrow money from me. I never got paid back. They are not my in-laws any more. My new girlfriend needed money for her mother and would pay me back. Now I don't have a girlfriend. I don't loan money to anyone, but I live alone in a condo. If you get to close to anyone, they want a loan. Even the guy who used to take me to the airport wanted a loan. I use a new driver. If you ever know anyone well enough to ask for a loan then you have to say no. And then find somebody else to do the job for you. People here, Expat or Thai, don't pay loans back. Don't learn the hard way like I have. Just say no to loans to anybody. Because they have no intention of paying you back.

  5. She presented her passport to Police and confirmed she was very much alive and has been working in Pattaya as a waitress for more than 1 year.

Would never think that she works in the sex industry Where did she get the Chinese tablet from? Wasn't it for first graders?.=Nastrovie.-laugh.png

Maybe she got it at Tutkom with tip money after she got a work permit. I am really looking forward to your next insightful post.

  6. I have a daughter in America and a daughter here. I have been through the same stuff all of you describe. And with the same advice from non parents that are on this thread. No one understands what it's like to be a parent. Both my kids thinks I was born 45 years old and was never a kid their age. Been that way for hundreds of years, not going to change because of this thread.

  7. I personally have never understood having the Thai air force. Who are they going to do air strikes on,

    Cambodia ???

Don't you think Thailand has the rigth to have an Air Force just like you country does ?

Anyway, during WWII Thailand fought Laos-based Franchs. Apparantely the Thai AF did good that maybe another reason they want the tradition to continue.

they also surrended to the Japs.

Ask anyone between 15 and 45 about WW2 blink.png No such thing happened

Wonderful schools here, lets not teach the kids anything about the outside world w00t.gif

Look at a map of pre WWII and post WWII. Thailand gained a lot of land thanks to the Japs.
