Just scanned all the Thai TV channels. Nothing on this.

Thai TV has been extremely poor covering anything at all in the past days. There could be a nuclear bomb dropping in downtown Bangkok and they would show it for 10 seconds before switching back to the soap operas. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't believe it was newsworthy

I am in USA watching the thai satellite. My friend watching with me says it is not shown in Thailand. Red shirts talking.

I heard it too but kept quiet because else I'll be the one that gets flamed if it's not true. Let's wait for dawn and see what the government statements say.

I remember when Thaksin offered Abhisit a "power-sharing" deal back in late 2009. Abhisit declined. Today I wish he would have taken it.

We don't know. And I doubt we'll know anything before tomorrow. But it's strange not to see Abhisit or Suthep on TV, especially after so much happening today.

Not only did that reporter do it to himself, but far from the reds, alone in front of the army he said " help me..." than shot himself again for good measure.

Please don't tell the reporters that he got 500 Baht from Thaksin to shoot himself. Or we'll have hundreds of foreign reporters in Sukhumvit shooting themselves.

My Windows calculator tells me they were 8 MP seats short of a majority! Count in Newin's seats, who cheated his supporters by siding with Thaksin before the election and then jumping ship to the Democrats ...and you've got a majority. Maybe that's why the Democrats are so reluctant to hold elections?

Spreading rumors at a time like this is irresponsible and totally unnecessary. In some places it could even be called fear mongering. You should seriously consider stopping it and comment on verified information only.

I only posted it after someone else wrote the same thing I had heard. If it was only me, I wouldn't have posted it, but I thought it would be helpful to show the other poster he wasn't the only one that heard it and that there might be more to the story, sorry. Feel free to compare the time stamps, I posted it after someone else asked if anyone else had heard about it.

I heard it from a Thai friend who works for the government. Not sure what his source is, but someone else on this forum posted the same thing a few moments ago in another thread. He said he heard it from 2 different sources. Not sure what's going on, will update when I know more.
