  1. If you have a British driving licence for motorcycles, you can just go and get a Thai driving licence without theoretical test (questionaires to answer), but you need to bring a medical certificate, work permit copy and need to do the 3 stupid physical tests:

    -reaction

    -color vision

    -stereoscopic vision

...but it will take all in all 2 hours.

You are however able to drive in TH legally with an international driving licence from home.

  2. There are music instruments shops in the big malls like CENTRAL WORLD with good stuff.

If you look for a E-guitar with bag and a mobile amplifier, my son got his on sale (he never really started playing), it is a black glossy WASHBURN in better than mint condition. PM me if interested...

  3. If it is not too old and a proper brand like SAMSUNG or ELECTROLUX, those have their own services, i.e. SAMSUNG has a service center at Silom Rd. but they come as well if you call them. I recall they charge 500 THB for coming only. So if it is an older fridge and normal size, you better buy new one for 5k at BigC or Tesco...

  4. Not a good idea as BKK is far away for any proper preparation for wheelchairs. Pavements become obstacles, and not many toilets for handicapped people in wheel chairs around either, unless you want to stay with the newer shopping malls only, better carefully plan your trip.

  5. This plan is around for decades and would bring a lot of money to Thailand, as what the Panama and Suez canal brought to their countries, but this plan is on hold, as everybody expects, that this would separate Thailand into two pieces, having a several hundret meter brought canal cut through it, giving the radical Muslims in the south the opportunity to take over that part. That's the common fear...
