  1. good luck, I am afraid, that is it not worth the paper it is printed on, but luckily it is not printed at all (yet)...

It would be as successful as there would be a petition to forbit screaming PG's *promotion girls) in Supermarket and Shopping Malls praising the latest Toyota, skin whitener or tea beverage...

Part of the (funny) culture here, I guess!

  2. Thai-Japanese College at Din Daeng / Rama 9, annual membership (5 years ago THB 40 - no kiddin), mostly ball sport fields, but as well squash courts (poor condition) and some body building equipment, but do not expect much,,,

  3. Don't worry, if your building staff doesn't separate the trash in order to collect THB 1 for each beer can etc be sure that the guys on the trash trucks will as this is their main source of income... Cans, glass, PET and paper as well as metal is getting sold, not sure with batteries though...

  4. If it is Pahonyothin soi 2 it is rather close to BTS Sanam Bao station, "run down" and "have been empty for a year" sounds for me like a wasted house with old airconditioner and some work to do. Is it furnished? If so, I guess you wont be happy with its style and condition. In soi 14 there are 10-15 year old 3 storey townhouses for rent between 18 and 23 k per month in similar condition, just to give you a hint.

  5. Hey, at intersection Asoke / Sukhumvit, opposite Terminal 21 and next to Black Swan Pub there is a small exclusive gym with custom made training plans, personal trainer and even a high altitude room for special excersing. A bit costly but effective, if you stick to their plan and diet, you will be fit and firm in a bit...

  6. MBK is a way, 3rd or 4rth floor (always mix them up), but afaik SIAM DISCOVERY has in the 2nd or 3rd floor a proper APPLE Service center (behind the big book store). So, if you value the iPod, better bring it there...

  7. Congrats, but what is wrong with the others:

CANNONDALE at Sukhumvit 26, but rather at the Rama 4 end?

    TREK at Sarasin Rd?

SPECIALIZED at soi Sala Daeng 1 at the Rama 4 end?

..and then there is the farang owned in this AMARIN Plaza, 2nd floor too.

    Just wondering!

Btw, yday I spotted another CANNONDALE shop at Srinakarin Rd between Udom Suk and On Nut on Sukhumvit side, might worth a try...

Thank you for these listings. As a newbie, are any of these near the BTS? To get to Bike39 on On Nut 39, you get off at BTS On Nut and can take your bike on the songthaew, if un rideable.

Yes, the one in the AMARIN Plaza is connected to BTS Chitlom...

  9. Any trip beyond BTS with Mini Vans is dangerous and inconvenient, if you come to town from Suphan Buri or Ban Chang, I would seriously NOT consider long distances to go to work unless you drive yourself, are an early bird and can afford tollway fees and gas...

  10. Try the DAVIS at Sukhumvit soi 26 but actually very close to Rama 4 side. Have been there last New years evening and had a splendid buffet for approx 1600 THB per head with relaly a great selection of various western food.

    Merry Xmas!

  11. Nope, not in a regular bus, afaik.

    But:

    1. you could ride your wave to Pattaya, it costs you approx 150 THB on fuel and 2 hours in time...

    2. you can actually mail it (seriously), bring it to a post office and mail it to an address in Pattaya, safe and cheap, dunno abou the time though...

    Good luck!
