I've been saying for a long time now, that if you are legally married to a Thai, then you should be allowed joint ownership of your principal place of residence, even if a size limit was applied to the plot of land the home sits on and even a caveat that if you want to sell that home and move to another that the first property must be sold before joint ownership was possible on the new property, no harm in that I believe.

@ubonjoe, I believe that the visa I am extending will continue and be transferred to the new passport, is that correct ??
-
Oh <deleted>, thanks for the reply, I guess I best renew my passport a good month or so before it's due then.

I've just been over to Jomtien Immigration to get my Marriage Ext stamp and came home a little bewildered, the extension isn't for 12 (11) months, it expires on the day my passport expires. I tried asking if when I have a new passport, do I go back and get a new stamp that will give me the balance, all I got was the usual blank look, then a smile, and some head nodding that instilled no confidence that was what would happen.

What most of the replies in here seem to miss is that this is Thailand, everything takes forever, so it will be a few years before they finish any work and by then, things will probably be back to something like normal.

If your last report, next report date, stapled in the back of your passport has a barcode, you are good to go with online reporting.

SetupVPN proxy Unblocker is 100% free and has Aussie servers, I use it from time to time when SmartDNS Proxy that I use goes down.

Can you not read what you posted yourself "Bt54 per inmate per meal for three meals day" so it quite clearly says 3x54=164 baht total

It may help others if you inform people ‘what tools’ you used.
i.e. Internet Explorer / File Fox / Safari etc and filed the report from a PC, MAC, iPhone or Android Phone etc.
The system is very clearly ‘buggy’ otherwise so many people would not be complaining that it doesn’t work.
It may well work better with certain OS and Web Portal.
It's not at all buggy, I use Firefox 99% of the time and it works perfectly in it, I have already said what is required, an exact match of what was used when applying for the extension.
The only thing I can think of, is a difference between what was put on the forms and what was entered into the system, as I said, it MUST MATCH what is in the database or it WILL BE rejected, my final words on the subject, can't handle dealing with numpties who want to blame everything and everyone else, for their own short comings. -
For all those who are still saying it doesn't work, here's a tip, YOU MUST enter your details exactly the same as you used when you got your extension or it will reject it straight up, found that out very early in the piece. The system is just comparing what you enter to what is in the database and if doesn't match, then it won't work, simple as that.

I've been using it for years, can't understand why everyone complains that it doesn't work, a good tradesman doesn't blame his tools. ????

Sounds like an account has been hacked, not necessarily yours, but one of your friends that has a lot of contacts and now you are getting automated friend requests from all of their contacts.

Too young for arthritis,
Never too young to get Arthritis, I was diagnosed with Arthritis in my knees when I was 15, I laughed at the doctor and suggested it was an old mans disease, he informed me that babies can have Arthritis.

We live out on the darkside and had to microchip our old dog more than a year ago, so not sure where they get Nong Prue registration is not required.

The IO wouldn't happen to be the woman on the centre desk would it, truly one of the most unpleasant people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with at Jomtien and I have been going in there for the last 13 years.

So I'll need to make 2 trips to BKK for this?
Last time I renewed mine they gave me the option to have it posted to me, for a fee, however when you choose that option they cut a piece off the front cover effectively making it invalid. The new passport was in my letter box in Pattaya in 7 days and the day I lodged the application was the day that Irish git running Qantas sacked all of the pilots. May take longer at the moment considering a lack of flights available.

Join the club, pretty much the same scenario, my wife is in her mid 40's and I suspect that she is going through Menopause, she goes off like a cheap Chinese fire cracker over absolutely nothing.

They are just complete morons, nothing between the ears other than a vacuum, I was on my way to collect my daughter from school on my bike a couple of days ago, when a young moron flew passed me so close that his mirror clipped mine, just a little closer and it could have been handle bars clipping and I hate to think how that would have ended, probably with both of us biting the road ????
I was lucky to survive an accident on Sukhumvit Rd 4 years ago when an idiot with a very young girl sitting on the back of his bike, forced me into the gutter on the median strip, heaps of bark missing, 5 broken ribs and a broken shoulder blade was the result. ????- 1

I have Led replacement for the old round fluros in my house on the darkside in Pattaya and that storm that went through here last Tuesday blew up all of them, we were out at the time but I suspect a nearby lightning strike, the sparky that came to check everything out put us onto a cheap supplier, I had been paying over 300 baht each for them and picked up new ones for 120 ea, bargain.

I have a Yamaha Aerox the wife and stepson bought me for my birthday this year, 155cc Fuel injected, goes like a cut snake, fantastic bike. I rode a Suzuki Hayate for 14 years before that and thought that was pretty good, but the Yammie is a cut above.
