Thailand...the HUB of daftness
New Zealand Customs/Agriculture inspectors at NZ airports would have an absolute fit if you turned up with a 1kg bag of Thai rice...confiscated on the spot and you would probably be fined as well
Thailand ...hub of stupidity
-
I sympathise with the OP but I'd advise him to ignore the time-honoured TV BS approach that advocates moving out in the dead of the night with your tail between your legs, changing your phone number, abandoning your regular haunts and essentially uprooting your life.
It's a waste of time and resources unless you're gonna leave your job too because she can easily follow you home after you finish work, right?
Thai men deal with this kinda shit from an early age and their way works.
Twice I found myself in situations like this myself here and, twice the Thai approach brought the situation to a satisfactory conclusion.
Explain the Thai, men, Way !
Yes please explain the thai man "way"...I think I need it....I am in a somewhat similar situation

You have to be careful when fiddling around with the teachers at the school you teach. I ended up marrying my wife (what a coincidence) but if you just want a bit of slap and tickle your best off looking elsewhere. Your life can be made VERY difficult if you piss the wrong woman off at a place you work at

My first Thai GF's name was Korn....my current GF's name is Kob.....(absolutely true)
-
......and in more news just to hand........the weathers bound to change.......
-
-
My Thai GF introduced me to dusting my armpits with powder.......I work all day in a non-aircon environment as an english teacher...so the work is not backbreaking and the sweat isn't exactly pouring off me but I am sweating nonetheless - and no sweaty odour at the end of the day.
The powder works a treat and is cheap to buy.
The roll on deo's are expensive for sure...I also found they eventually ruin the fabric of your shirts in the underarm area by leaving an unremovable yellow stain (although I see Nivea have bought out a RO Deo that claims not to do this)
Alternatively in most 711's...and all thai pharmacies/drug stores there is a small deo cost 40b-50b that will last you 6 months...the thais use it....
It's brand name is YOU and I stick....it is made of crystals...plus tumeric and carambola...it is odourless....non sticky

specialy potatos will not do easy in thailand due to hot weather the potato does fine but he plant will burn and die
what you can do is get some old car tyres fill one up with sand plant the potato pieces as soon as they stick their head up the ground stack on the second tyre fill with sand plant ageain potatos this worked for me fine the last tyre i did not plant any potato once the plants get out of that one take the whole stack apart and plenty of potatos big and small.
Wow, that's pretty cool K. retell. I am definitely gonna' try it. Thanks.
forgot to mention i did not use seeds but sprouted potatos cut into pieces by the way
Thanks. That is what I will do. Have tried with the cut pieces before with disapointing
results, but the tires idea sounds good. Cheers for your post.
You could also use/try 200 litre drums (steel or plastic) ..cut both the bottom and the top out of the drum...paint the drum white to reflect sunlight (heat)....plant your potatoes in the bottom..as soon as they pop their heads up.....top up (cover their heads) with sand/soil.
I used this method in New Zealand when I lived there as I only had a small area in which to grow veges.
Once the plant reaches the top of the drum.....and the head dies off....it becomes easy enough to simply lift the drum clear of the "stack" and harvest the potatoes.
Just to mention that the watering of the plant in the drum needs to be done regularly and liberally as the drum method raises the temperature of the soil (and the plant stem) versus the normal method of growing potatoes.
I have not used this method in Thailand (yet) so take method this as an alternative/suggestion.

I teach an English language course part time in the evenings (reading/speaking) to a class of 25 to 28 year old Technical School Thai students.
I almost fell over with shock last week when their Thai teacher informed me that these same students..."attend classes at the Tech school during the day - 12x50 minute sessions per week - to learn to both speak and write Thai......."
