  1. I told mine that did she realise the boob creams were actually making them smaller...! she stopped applying (and buying) the stuff immediately...!!! easy fix.......(truthfully tho there was no change in "them" at all even after the daily ritual of applying the cream...altho I miss watching her do it....

  2. Sorry "newbie" couldnt resist telling that before now back to your request re meeting for a blind date....

    1. Thousands of places to "meet" here in Bangkok.

    2. Dare I say it but there are thousands of girls on the internet dating sites wanting to meet up.

I guess if you corresponded with them and set up a joint meeting place somewhere in the city then that is as close as you will get to a "blind date"...you are going to the meeting "blind" so to speak.

    3. A word of caution re the internet dating sites......many of the photos of the girls advertising are not a true likeness to seeing them in the "flesh" (my experience)...many of the photos are outright false...when you think you have set up a meeting with a slim gorgeous 28 year old figure-to-die-for woman......and then arrive at the pre-determined meeting place (an expensive one because you want to impress her...right..!!) only to find that she is 45 years old and measures 3 axe handles across her posterior....but of course you have already sat yourself down....well....it then takes quite alot to extract yourself from this situation...it may cost you a meal for two...and her measuring 3 axe handles across the posterior will send a strong message to you that this meal is going to cost you dearly because she eats as much as two buffalos do in a week.

good luck...if I were you...just simply go for a walk...observe......choose......and go from there.

  3. I once had a GF who I had met on a blind date...she wasnt blind...but only had one eye. After our first date together I told her I liked her and would like to see her again...she answered.....ok I will keep an eye out for you

  4. being a kiwi I just love Vegemite and Marmite...in fact I had a kiwi GF once who liked Vegemite spread on her nipples simply for me to remove it ......ah those were the days....her and I never needed butter, toast or bread......just a bed and a jar of yours truly....

Some Villa Markets have both Marmite and Vegemite...now I am hopeless with directions but lets put it this way.....cross over the road from S7 Nana up and over using the BTS and head towards Chitlom...about 700metres from the BTS is a McDonalds restaurant within a plaza type building...go downstairs thru the main glass doors (McD's will be on your right).....and VM is right in front of you....this VM has stocked Vegemite/Marmite for years I have been purchasing it regularly and have never known them to go out of stock.

  5. Cayenne pepper....in ground or whole form. I have searched high and low in all the usual supermarkets for the ground cayenne pepper but have not been able to locate it. Vegetable section, herb and spice section..you name it.

Now forgive my ignorance...whole cayenne peppers....are these the bright red curved peppers you find by the 100's in bins in the supermarkets or are these in fact chillis...??? there is a difference. I need the genuine cayenne peppers.

I cannot read thai....therefore may have missed seeing the thai labelled containers of the ground stuff. Anyone know the thai language labelling that they could post in thai ?

I have a cholestrol problem back with me after a few years of being without it. Back "home" in New Zealand before coming to Thailand I took Cayenne pepper half a teaspoon a day....it rid me of the high cholestrol...but now its back again.

I refuse to take drugs to control it...much preferring a natural cure via my old friend cayenne pepper together with an "adjustment" to my current diet.

    Thanks

  9. Thai bus driver to his Ticket clicker:

Driver:...Now just put that bunch of flowers in the middle of my window slightly to the right of the centre strip.

Ticket clicker:...yea but hey thats now going to block out your entire forward vision:

Driver: Yes it will.... but what you dont understand is that because of the natural sway of the bus as we travel gaps appear between the amulets, bunches of flowers, other crap thats hanging down, including your handbag, and it provides enough time to allow me to both see and steer this 30 tonne bus...so dont concern yourself.

  10. OK Blether I havent finished yet......just the simple act of my going to and from work observing life in the street awakens my sense of humour and power of observation which I simply have to post in this topic...in fact you have caused me to carry a notebook and pen with me to jot down stuff lest I forget some of the "ten things you wont hear"

You seriously have to consider putting these postings into "coffee table" book form with cartoons......along the "Far Side" theme...but unique to Thailand.

Big thanks to necronx99 for summarising thus far....cheers and thanks.

  11. Hey, what about just financing improvements at the existing Dream World? Oops, that would involve much less money...

And, yeah, I thought Disney Corp usually made their own location decisions.

How about attracting more tourists by not scamming the ones who already come here?

...and as well as financing improvements to the exisiting Dreamworld...how about spending some money on maintenance...!!! last time I was there with the kids...3 "rides" were not operating...almost everywhere you looked the place looked "tired" in need of a coat of paint at least in some areas...in the covered in area where small attractions exist being boat rides etc for the little kids.....4 of the rides were unmanned and not operating. Either it was maintenance issues or a lack of staff...yet I had to pay the full price at the gate for half the "fun of the fair"

  12. I do not know of any Thai that doesn't take pills less than daily.

High Blood pressure is norm for alot, migraines, stomach ailments, gout etc

I think Diabetes will be the next issue, especially with young fat kids.

It is the culture, seeing others taking pills makes them follow,

almost like a competition to see who can take the most.

My Ex in Australia (Thai) used to brag to friends about pills he was getting cheaply

on trips to Thailand. A Thayang Pharmacy was very obliging to him, even suppositories for migraines.

He was most upset when the Australian Immigration took away his sudafed for headaches

but it is a component in illegal drug manufacturing.

Plus the Thais aren't the healthiest of people, look at what they eat.

Old people, as in Western Countries, love attention as they get older and

going to the doctor to have a 'chat' usually ends up them happy to spend their

    Social Security money on medication.

Thailand needs a data base for people's medications to see who is using what and how much

but realistically I can't see that happening.

Even Celebrities are killing themslves with medication. eg. Heath Ledger, Whitney Houston

    Good post.

I know this is slightly off topic but I want to say it anyway. I have recently been introduced to Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar by a friend who swears by it's healing qualities. He had been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks for the last 3-4 years and tried everything, with regards to medication, with no affect but now says that he takes daily doses of this natural medicine and has never felt better.

Furthermore, he has recommended it to many others who were suffering from a who range of complaints from Diabetes to Back pain, Arthritis to skin complaints and even gout, and all say they are at least in a lot less pain, if not totally cured. Apparently the high level of Potassium content is the main healing ingredient: "Potassium's main function is to promote cell, tissue and organism growth. It is necessary to replace dead cells and tissue. There is no better source of potassium than vinegar - particularly natural organic apple cider vinegar."

Other illnesses it can cure are: sinus infections, high cholesteral, flu, chronic fatigue, candida, acid reflux, sore throats and people are raving about the curing of chronic skin conditions such as acne, rosacea and even dermatitis.

It is a winner and it's available in Thailand, so no need to get bag-fulls of non-effective pills from anyone thats willing to sell em to you.

Good post...are you able to advise exactly which supermarket/health shop stocks this product in Bangkok please

Yes, I bought mine from Foodland in Pattaya, so expect it is in their stores. The best brand is by 'BRAGG' as this contains something they call 'The Mother' which I believe is the living organisms in it. My 1 pint bottle cost me 254 baht.

Since my post I have got another 6 people on it for their various problems - like I was told, try it for a week and see for yourself, you could be amazed.

...and Tops Supermarkets also stock it 257baht for a pint bottle...bought two today Braggs brand....

  13. ...any links to this story?......doesnt appear on TV...unless I have gone blind in the last hour...???...Prom Phong BTS station yesterday I believe....had his young daughter with him and his thai wife

  14. Brookes beans as close as you will get to the Heinz "taste" about 45 to 55 baht most Tesco Lotus stores have them. There is also a Thai produced brand which normally sits alongside the Brookes product on the shelf....35b a tin...personally I dont like the taste of the Thai brand plus the beans are hard and remain hard even after heating.
