  1. UKBA aim for not over 15 weeks. So take the bank holidays into consideration then this is within their target. However something like 85% of decisions are made within 12 weeks. A friend of ours got her decision on friday after submitting on the 16th of Jan. Our application is in now. So looking at 16 weeks also, with easter and songkran taken into account. Not building my hopes up for 12 weeks as the suspense would drive the missus and me crazy. Don't know about you guys? Sent from my GT-I9100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

    Thanks for the reply

So when you submit the application do they give you a tracking number ? and did you put your e-mail address in ? My wife never uses an e-mail address so im wondering if i can just put in my e-mail address ?

Just out of interest how long after did you put in for the expected travel date for ?

    Cheers

  2. Partner got her Visa today. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the help that they have given ver the years. Especially the Moderators.

    Hi gerry67

6th of December till the 31st Mar , that seems like an awful long time to wait , is that normal time you would have to wait ?

16 weeks , i was expecting 8 to 10 weeks but if its as long as that im wondering how it can possibly take so long ?

  3. Hello Folks , need a bit of advice ,

Whats the time frame for booking an appointment for submitting the docs at vfs , im just trying to workout rough dates for our Travel to Bangkok after i complete the online application ,

Is it only done by prebooking or can we just turn up and submit info, bio metrics, etc ?

Also i cant seem to see any where for a signature on financial requirement appendix 2 ?

Finally does anyone have any info about how we book for the Passport and docs to be returned to my wifes home address ?

    Thanks

  4. You should go for a brisk walk first thing in the morning , this starts your body in fat burning mode, try and get a healthy brekfast after, largest meal of the day at lunch time , cut out the carbs after 4.00pm and never eat late at night , you will be losing weight no probs , snacks for supper can be fruit or a good healthy cereal

  5. It was cut because she applied for a new one , they do the same in the UK when you apply for a new passport you send the current passport away with the application form when the new passport is issued then they send it out to you with the old passport with the corner cut, so that passport is no longer useable ,

The problem she has is that she no longer has the most recent Thai passport only the one returned when the latest one was issued ,

It looks like her best option is two take a trip to the embassy in london and apply for a new thai passport , however i noticed that the required supporting docs according to the website asks for thai ID card number but she doesnt have her ID card as the last one was lost many years ago.

    Thanks

  6. Is her only option to apply for a Thai passport in London ?

She lives in the northern isles so to travel there will cost quite a bit , plus she would need to have someone with her, if its the only option then perhaps her daughter could take her

So when applying a i imagine she would need

    Old Thai passport ?

    Current UK passport ?

    Birth certificate ?

Confirmation of address in the UK ?

    Passport Photos ?

    Any thing else

    Thanks

  7. A friend of mine is planning to go back home to Thailand to stay long term, she has been in the UK for 35 years and is now a British Citizen with UK passport, so im trying to find out what the best option is for her to return to Thailand.

Her plan is to stay for 6 months to a year the first time then travel back to the UK to visit family for a couple of months then return back to Thailand. Returning to the UK at least once a year to visit family

So what does she do ?

We know she will have to get ID card and added to the house book where ever she stays

    Thanks
