I seem to have an ok connection to the online visa app now, guess it must have been bad internet speeds

Another query i have is regarding my call history lists from my mobile , how far back would i need to go , due to the fact we did nearly all of our calls on mobile and sms messages also, if i go right back to the start were talking about a lot of paperwork, 3 and half years worth , what do you think ?

Hi Folks , have some questions for the experts

I can print 12 months of bank statements from my account online , any further back and ill have to pay for them , would 12 months be ok ?

Photos as evidence , i have 100s but how many should i include , will black and white be ok ?

I only have a copy of my birth certificate will that be ok ?

Do all english translations have to be certified ?

Finally should i make a second folder full of copies of all documents ?

Ive been trying to start an online application just to get used to the system and whenever i do i cant connect , with the message Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage , im using my own laptop with the houses wifi , any reasons why this wont work ?

i,ll try a cable tommorow but hopefully this is just a fault with thier website

Just to add , weve not actually done the TB test yet , i just assumed it would be in thai , but if its english excellent one less thing to worry about,

Is the appendix 2 always needed , if they can see from my salary slips and P60 that i meet the threshold financially , do we still need that document submitted.

Also are applications only accepted by online or can you just fill in the details in pen and submit like that ,

She signs the application forms in english or thai ?

Hello , im starting this thread to assist with my settlement visa for my wife.

Basically we were legally married in Thailand in November , wife has been here once before on a tourist visa for 4 months , two years ago.

Im going to Thailand on the first of April for three weeks to get the visa application finished and submitted, so i have under two months to get all my stuff in order and im really wanting to get this done and passed on the first attempt. I meet the financial requirements and i have my own mortgaged property with three bedrooms. I know we need lots of supporting documents, covering letters , photos , relationship evidence, but ive listed an overview below to show where im at and also what i need or unsure about.

What weve done so far listed below

• Legally married in Thailand with marrige certificates in Thai
  
• She completed english test with Vantage Siam A1 level
  
• Id card renewed with my surname
  

What i think we need to do

• Update passport with new surname
  
• TB test and documents translated to english , certified ? IOM Bangkok
  
• Translation of marrige certificates to english
  

What im not sure about

• She has been previously married, any documents required ?
  
• She has one child living with her ex husband, any documents required ?
  
• We need to submit form VAF4A, Correct form ?
  
• We also need form Appendix 2, Correct form ?
  

Any help, advice or any other relevant information would be very much appreciated,

Hi , thanks for your quick and helpful replies , your right beano the thai marrige and registration has all been done and signed, we just dont have certified english translations , so final question is when we get them translated we go to the same place as the translated affirmation of marrige was certifiied , MFA in lak sai , Bangkok

Hi , me and my wife were officially married in thailand in november, we have the marrige papers in thai , she also changed her id card name to my surname , so i have a few questions

Do i need to register this marrige at my local registar office

Do i need english translations of the wedding certificates for settlememt visa

If so will these need to be certifiied , if so where

im looking at showing £2000 to £3000 credit on my account when i apply , obviously as soon as i get to thailand to apply for the visa then this figure will start decreasing , but ill still have an overdraft of £2000 and my monthly salary coming in , so if the visa is accepted then ill have the funds to fly out and get the wife , ill pay the visa fee seperatley perhaps by credit card if possible ?

Weve now been together three years and married for 3 months , hoping to apply in may or june , ive not started the visa documents yet as ive been so busy with work , but im going to go hammer and tongs at it after the festive when work settles down , i look forward to having a normal life with my wife with me because this long distance thing is so tough

Ok thanks for that , to be honest im glad debts , and overdrafts are not taken into account because if they were id have a much longer to wait to save and make the visa , a big sigh of relief

So is it possible for me to apply for a visa with an overdraft showing on my account ?

Plan to have £3000 in bank account , plus showing available arranged overdraft of £2000 so £5000 in total available

Barclaycard credit card with no balance with available limit of £3000

Please advise , if it could be lower that would be better ,

Hope your all well and having a nice day , i need a bit of help as i require a hotel near the british embassy in Bangkok , im basically looking for somewhere that i can book two rooms with a budget of £60 per night max for both rooms , what would be good is a room with a seperate bedroom or two rooms with an access door between them , needs to be within a reasonable distance from the embassy and hopefully close to shops , bit of nightlife , and eateries.

This is ridiculous , i think everyone should write to thier local mp's and complain about this , thankfully i qualify in my current job but who knows how safe that is , im due to get married to my thai gf next month and will be looking at settlement visa early next year ,

A very tragic incident , my thoughts go out to her family and friends. Jealousy is a terrible thing as is deceit and dishonesty ! , this guy obviously just completely snapped , but it must have been building up for a while.

How can the people at immigration know if you have a one way ticket or not ? or do they get a list of everyones inbound and outbound flights ?

There is one at the physical education institute , according to udonmap forum it was quite a long pool but they also said dirty ? and that they were building a new one . has anyone used this one ?

i have googled it, agoda'd it and had a look through some thai language travel sites and i cannot find a tokyo hotel in lopburi.

are you certain about the name and location?

it was definetly lopburi and i was sure that was the name he gave , but it could be just a small lesser know guesthouse or a new hotel , ive sent an e-mail to him so he should check it sooner or later but ill try a few hotels in the area
