I was there earlier this year  mainly rural parts of the south ..I had to go through 100's of army check points . only in a couple of areas did I feel unwelcome  and was told at the check points NOT to stop in certain villages , and getting a beer after a hot day on the  road was a bit hit and miss , but  visited some wonderful sites ????

Hi All . How many days before your current retirement Visa expires can you re-apply for the new visa stamp .I think it's up too 30 days prior to the due date, but would appreciate clarification ????  

I usually do it 2 week in advance but this year I need to do it as early as possible  due to travel plans

Hi All!  I need to buy some US$   =   10's 20's   smaller type bills...  where its the best place in the Pattaya area to buy  "GOOD" quality bill ( not worn or torn and not interested in larger bills) as I'll be travelling around rural area's of Cambodia and bigger is harder to use and get any change back.

You mentioned the Chong Chom border crossing I will be using this Crossing in November (motorbike), can you comfirm if they issue re-entry stamps at this border crossing ???.

UPDATE !  The Land & transport office have a LINE Group ..  you can ask questions on there .. They respond fairly quickly during Office Hours , please don't ask me for the LINE address . I added them via a QR code at their Office .

The messages I sent  were in English and  also translated into Thai using Google translator .. that worked for me

If it helps I was there to pick up a replacement Number plate  which I lost  on my travels "NOT" to renew my DL . different departments involved..... so you'll probably be OK .

I did that last week only to be told  there's a delay bcoz of the recent holidays etc and come back in another 20 days ..  don't fancy another wasted round trip of 85 km just to be told it's been delayed again  ,,   the pleasures of Thai bureaucracy .

I am in the early stages of planning motorbike a road trip  around Cambodia ,, A brief  itinerary  Is :- November  17th < 20th  Surin for the Elephant  festival (300+ Elephants wandering around Surin lol). Early 20th leave Surin ( approx 1hr drive) and cross at one of the small border crossing which allows motorbike to enter Cambodia ,  the  Cambodian  part of the trip is ongoing and I am  still researching the sightseeing options etc  en-route

Slightly off topic ,, are motorbike taxis readily available in the City  and what are there rates ? say for a 4km journey ?

I had a BP episode a few years back caused by shingles ..  I did all the facial exercises religiously  and after a week or so it started to improve  and by the 5th week I was 99% back to normal . But I know from all the research I did  the symptoms can last for years in a very small minority of people ,

But knowing it wasn't a stroke for sure made me happy is was  only a BP episode .(lesser of the 2) evils
