but they will use it to verify that your income complies with the 65k/40k requirement.

So we will have to await a report from someone renewing their extension based on this to see when (if ever) it gets put in place.

However, be aware that Skipton should require that you provide a Thailand Tax ID. It is mandatory under the CRS (Common Reporting Standard), but there are some specific exemptions.

From what you say it sounds like you have a Skipton off-shore account and know this for a fact?

Can you please elucidate what the "specific exemptions" you  refer to are?

Anybody out there have a good VOIP app or software they can use on their PC?

If you have a read through the 'Skype replacement' threads there were quite a few options mentioned.

@ukrules from memory went with a specific sip phone/software and separate provider or similar.

Has anybody else noticed it? It is outside Makro. It looks like a heap. It has created an impromptu motorcycle parking spot by shielding the inside lane immediately after it. It has been there for weeks.

I will have to confess I hadn't noticed and have probably been there 4/5 times in last couple of weeks including earlier this week......

Next time I go I will now obviously pay more attention

No idea.. [bot sure what a data package is]

In order to set up the app initially or when you change phones it has to be done over a mobile data connection and not over wi fi - hence me asking if you actually have a data package and/or switched mobile data on when trying to connect.

However I would have thought the staff would have sussed that out but you never know.

So first step is too make sure of the above.

Once you are sure of that try and activate the app again. - it may be worthwhile deleting the cache and data of the app before you try again.

Depending on that you may want to ring AIS customer services and explain the issue and see what they suggest about your number not showing

When I moved mine to a new phone with my existing AIS sim I was able to do it without going anywhere near a SCB branch.

Do I go to AIS  ? bought from them 6 weeks ago SALE 'new old stock 1,050 baht'

Are you referring to the phone or the sim card?

Which network are you with and presumably the number is one you have had for a while? When they tried to register you I presume they were using mobile data and that you have a data package?

This is not an uncommon problem - neither of my phones show the Sim phone number in Settings. Although it says 'Unknown' and not OAle DBX which would appear to be some make of phone.....?
