  1. I know that my family needs to get an ATK test the day before they fly out of Thailand back to the US. My wife is asking if the test requires a doctor certificate for the ATK test results. My assumption is that she needs a printed document from the clinic/hospital with the ATK test results, but that it doesn't need to be a doctor certificate (whatever that is) that my wife is saying will cost an extra 400 THB in addition to the cost of the test. She is flying back on ANA via Tokyo and then onto Washington DC. What proof of negative ATK test results are acceptable for her to return to the US?
  2. This used to work. When I applied for the Test & Go in the beginning of November for my wife and daughter, their Thailand Passes were accepted with only one dose of the Janssen vaccine. I guess they decided to "fix" things.
  3. I'll suggest that my family do the same. I just booked them at the same hotel they used for the Test & Go for the 3 nights prior to their departure from Thailand. They can ask the hotel to do it when they check in.
  4. I finally talked to my son today and asked him about the pink slip and the MorChana App. He said he never read the information on the pink slip - why he didn't I don't understand. He's 21 and usually responsible about these things. I asked him if the MorChana App notified him to upload the PCR test results. He said it did, but he couldn't figure out how to actually upload the results. For one thing, for whatever reason, I don't think they provided an email address to the hospital when they had the tests. Only my wife received a link to access the results electronically via a LINE message. He confirmed that he received a weblink from the MorChana App and he took a screen snapshot of the weblink, but he also said that all of my family members uninstalled the MorChana App because he claimed it was draining their batteries. He also explained that after he received the negative results from the 1st PCR test on arrival, his MorChana App showed his status as green instead of orange indicating he went from medium risk to low risk.
  5. You are supposed to do a 2nd PCR test between days 5 - 7. You should have received a pink slip of paper indicating something like this. You are also supposed to install the MorChana App and register your Thailand Pass on the App. The test is free if you use one of the government hospitals or approved clinics. I don’t know the details because I didn’t go to Thailand, but my family member arrived on December 28 and got the free test on January 3.
  6. What is it you uploaded? A photo of your test results or something else? Only my wife received an electronic copy (or was it a link?) to her test results in a LINE message. Neither my son nor daughter received anything other than a paper version of their test results. The Phatthalung government hospital was clueless about this required PCR test and treated my family as any other persons requesting a PCR test. I’ll have to ask my son if he ever received a message from the MorChana App since I know he was able to install it whereas my wife couldn’t figure it out. I told her to delete it, reinstall it, choose English instead of Thai, and have our son help her. I don’t know if she ever did as I suggested. In any event, I’m content that they have a printout of their test results in the unlikely event that someone asks to see the results of their 2nd PCR test.
  7. My wife posted on Facebook that although she and my kids got the test on the 7th day, they were unable to upload the results to the MorChana App. I told them at least keep a paper copy of the results to show you did receive the required 2nd PCR test. They aren’t extending their visit but they will be leaving Thailand on the 31st day of their visa free entry and I wouldn’t want not having the results of this test to complicate their departure.
  8. On January 4th, my wife receive via a LINE message that her 2nd PCR test was negative. She received it as a LINE message because she has previously registered at this hospital and they asked for her Thai ID, not her US passport. Both my son and daughter provided their US passports but they weren't notified of the results. My wife called the hospital and they said their results were also negative. However, the hospital didn't know anything about the Test & Go 5 - 7 days after arrival 2nd PCR test. As far as I can tell from my communications with my family, they were treated like any other person wanting to know if they had COVID-19. I explained to my wife that in order to prevent any issues in the future, they should obtain a printout of the PCR results. My son messaged me that they went to the hospital and did just that. I don't know if their PCR results were ever entered into any database that is used to track the 2nd PCR test for Test & Go travelers. What has been the experience from others that had to do the same? I'm especially interested in others that went somewhere remote such as Chiangrai.
  9. Not that what I say is a requirement, but if I did what you did then I would make sure that I had printed copies of both your previous documents as well as your updated documents. I hope you didn't make this change because of some information regarding whether the Test & Go Thailand Passes that were already approved would be invalid after January 10th.
  10. My understanding is that if you stick with the bookings associated with your approved Test & Go Thailand Pass, then you can enter Thailand on the date that you originally planned on arriving despite it being January 28. My understanding of the recent announcement is that they intend to continue the situation as is until the end of January. They planned on reviewing whether to allow the Test & Go to be available again around January 10. The news articles I've seen appear to point to preventing new Test & Go applications, at least until the end of January. However, all currently approved Test & Go applications - no matter when the arrival date is - are still acceptable for entry into Thailand. In addition, as far as I am aware, there isn't any way to amend or modify an existing Thailand Pass application. Therefore, my advice to you is to keep your travel plans as they are and use your approved Thailand Pass QR code to enter Thailand on January 28th.
  11. Someone previously posted a link from the US embassy in Bangkok with a list of approved testing locations. I think the thread was moved from this forum since it didn’t apply to entering Thailand.
  12. Are you in the United States? If so, are you saying US Immigration didn’t even check that you had a COVID test one day before departing from Thailand? And where did you go to get the COVID test a day (or less) before your departure? I understand there is a list of approved testing sites for entry into the US.
  13. Today in Thailand (January 3rd) is a holiday which is also the 7th day since my family arrived in Thailand. I told my wife she and my kids need to get their 2nd PCR test today. But she said that the hospital is closed since it’s a holiday. I explained that she MUST get the test today. I provided her with the local Phatthalung Hospital phone number and told her to confirm that they are open for them to get the 2nd PCR test. She just posted photos of the testing site where they are getting their tests. She said the testing site, outside the hospital, is only open a half day. Thank God she actually listened to me this time about taking this PCR test seriously.
  14. So the question is, if you fly from say Ohio to Los Angeles and then from LA to Tokyo and then onto Bangkok, is the 72 hours before departure based upon the departure from Ohio or the departure from LA? I am under the impression that it is based upon the departure from LA, but I honestly don’t know. I’m 90% sure it isn’t based upon the departure from Tokyo.
  15. My understanding is that the 72 hours applies to your departure from the US. Which airport are you departing from the US? My family departed from Washington Dulles on a flight to Tokyo. For them their departure date and time from Washington was the end of the 72 hour pre-departure PCR test window.
  16. My son sent me a screenshot of the Morchana App after he scanned his Thailand Pass QR code. It shows his profile photo, last and first name, and a section titled My ID with a blue banner. Inside the My ID section is the last update date and time and a big orange QR code that isn’t the same as his Thailand Pass QR code. Underneath the QR code it says MEDIUM RISK and V2.1.5. I tried to scan this QR code, but it isn’t a website. It’s just a bunch of random characters.
  17. My family arrived in Thailand at 00:04 on December 28. At their hotel they were told to install the Morchana App. They all did and successfully scanned their Thailand Pass into the App. My guess is that you will be able to scan your Thailand Pass only after you arrive in Thailand.
  18. I think you arrived before the change from antigen to PCR test was implemented. That explains why you received the antigen test. Others have reported that the Morchana App isn't working very well. Were you able to upload the result?
  19. Fantastic! There are 2 hospitals listed for Phatthalung in that new document. My family arrives in Phatthalung on December 31. Their 5th day is January 1st, so I assume they will get tested either January 2nd or 3rd in Phatthalung.
  20. Looks like my family will not have a problem getting the 2nd PCR test in Phatthalung since there is a government hospital in the town center not too far from my wife’s village.
  21. Yes, you will need to have the PDF file sent to a printer. You should be able to go to an office supply company - something like FedEx that we have in the US - and ask them to print it for you. You need all the other documents such as the Thailand Pass QR code (which was also sent to you as a PDF), insurance, hotel, etc. printed as well. I printed 2 copies of everything for each of my family members.
  22. Thank you so much for this news. I'll tell my son to have his mom call the government hospital in Phatthalung to see if the same can be done there.
  23. I'll have to ask my son if my family received the ATK test kit at the airport at 00:20 December 28. I don't think they were. And they were only told to install the MorChana App at their hotel. I know this because my daughter needed my Apple ID to install the app on her iPhone.
  24. The hardest part of this entire Test & Go process for us was obtaining the pre-travel PCR test. Traveling the day after Christmas must have added to our difficulties. The surge of omicron infections created a perfect storm.
