  1. Sorry to hear that. When you access the page referred to in the QR code, does it show the documents you uploaded?
  2. For those reporting that the dates are wrong on their application, I thought I read somewhere on here that although the dates were wrong on the email they received, when they accessed the information associated with the QR-code, the dates are correct. I haven't received a QR-code yet so I don't know if what I'm saying is correct or if I misunderstood what was being said.
  3. Yesterday I decided to reapply because I think some of the information and documents I supplied were incorrect. For example, I uploaded the Agoda booking confirmation document instead of the confirmation from the hotel indicating that the Test & Go package was purchased. I also wanted to receive the Access Codes that are now provided. So at least now I have Access Codes to check the status of our applications. In reapplying, I discovered that the passport jpegs I provided weren’t correct. I had included part of the signature page which they show as incorrect, so I edited the passport jpegs to show only the page with the photo ID. My state (Maryland) in the US doesn’t provide a QR code for the vaccination record, so I expect the Thailand Pass verification process to take more time. My main concern about my latest submission is that I don’t know specifically what number I should use for the Booking ID. On the first application I used the Agoda Booking ID. On the second application I used a number that appears as the Reservation number on the Test & Go package confirmation. However, there is a Reference number on the Agoda booking confirmation but the Test & Go confirmation doesn’t include that number. It also doesn’t include other information from the hotel reservation such as the number of rooms, the number of nights, or the cost of the reservation. It does list the names of the travelers and the date of the first night that was booked. I’m waiting on an email from the hotel telling me what they have as the Booking ID. At least I have time to get this corrected if the applications are rejected.
  4. Thank you for that information. I suppose the main issue is making sure to receive the results before departure. Most of the places I found that deliver results within 24 hours don’t take insurance. Fortunately I found a place that takes insurance.
  5. It's my understanding that you have to take an RT-PCR test within 72 hours of your departure. Make sure it is the RT-PCR test, not any other type of PCR test. You need proof of a negative result in order to board your flight. When you arrive in Thailand, you have to take another RT-PCR test that you must schedule and pay for through an approved hotel (e.g. SHA+ hotel) that will also include your airport transit to their hotel. If you test positive upon arrival, you will be quarantined until you recover and test negative.
  6. I agree with your recommendation for tomx2. For my family, I scheduled their RT-PCR test for Friday December 24, at 10:00 AM. Their flight is scheduled to leave at 11:00 AM Sunday December 26. The clinic said they would have the results sent in about 12 hours.
  7. I booked using Agoda. The hotel I booked with immediately sent an email with a list of items they needed in order to provide proof of the SHA+ airport transit and RT-PCR tests. I submitted everything they asked for. It took me a day or two to get everything they asked for which included the Travel Insurance confirmations and my passport even though the booking was for my wife and children. I paid using a credit card - BHT 2,000 for each RT-PCR test and BHT 1,450 for airport transit. As soon as they had everything, I received confirmation documentation soon after - maybe after an hour or so. When I completed the Thailand Pass application, I used the Agoda confirmation document because the other document didn't show the booking of the hotel. It just showed the payment for the tests and transits. I suspect that I'll need to submit the SHA+ confirmation document before my family receives their QR codes. At least they have time as they don't travel until December 26.
  8. Yes, I believe the sellers only wanted a cashier's check from their bank for the reasons you state above.
  9. When my wife bought some land in 2007, the seller paid for all of the transfer fees. However, for some reason, the seller requested that the cashier's check come from a specific bank. I remember my wife having to get a cashier's check from her bank, deposit it into her relative's account, and then have the relative provide the cashier's check from the bank approved by the seller. I don't know if anyone else had this happen, but you might want to make sure that the seller will accept the cashier's check from your bank. I can't see why this was an issue, but it was for my wife's transaction.
  10. This weekend my wife informed me that she received a tax bill for her townhouse in Krabi. We live in the US and she never received a blue book when she purchased the newly constructed townhouse. Her cousin lives next door and informed her of the tax bill. I think she is required to pay this new tax since this property isn't designated as her primary residence in Thailand. My wife is still listed on her parent's house book. She was surprised to learn that the tax is for 12.5 baht! How they arrived at that miniscule amount is beyond me. I've been concerned that she hadn't received any information about this new tax until now. She never received any tax bill for vacant land she owns, but she thinks that is because she declared that land as agricultural since it has a few coconut trees growing on it. Hopefully this is all we have to worry about for the time being. Next year we hope to be in Thailand to get a blue book for her townhouse so that she and my daughters are registered on it.
