  1. When I have the court order of my legalisation. Is this enough for my Non O visa or will I also need something from the amphoe? Also, should my GF come with me to apply for the Non O visa? I heared more and more stories that getting a visa with having a thai child (and not married to the mother) is getting much more strict.

  2. You mention your not married to the mother.

But is she still around .are you together ???

If yes you can go to the local amphur and get a document stating your the main carer.

If she's not round could be difficult.

That might help till your documents come from the court.

Yes we tried that at the amphoe already. Total disaster... they refused everything even refused to help us and give more information. Just say why I don't marry the mother then I would get everything.

But great news. Our lawyer called a few minutes ago. He got the court order. Have to pick it up now....

  3. Hello everyone,

my situation is that my 60 days "visit child" extension ends at the 24th of october. So I have to leave the country ( I guess). I am still waiting for the court decision papers which state me as legal father. Father legalisation has been done and the judge verdicted me as legal father at the 2nd of october. I have been told that it will takes around 3 weeks until we get the offical documents.

So right now I only have the birth certificate of my thai son and his tambien baan which states me as father. I am not married with the mother.

Actually I wanted to go to savansnakhet to get a Non O multiple entry visa, but as far as I understand I will need the child legalisation papers for that. Will I stll get the 90 days Non-O single entry visa just with the birth cert and tambien baan at savannakhet?

    thanks

  4. The problem would disappear when the tickets become payable by bank transfer or directly on the spot by credit or debit card. No cash on the spot. Problem solved but this country is not famous for a logical approach to any problem.

    Bingo!

Yes and if they don't pay then send payment reminders to their province addresses which will endup in the trashbin... tongue.png This country is not ready for non cash penalty payments..

  5. That's right. Why are we not allowed to freely work and take care of our families.

Cos your not a legal migrant that's why, is this such a hard concept to understand ?

What do you mean legal migrant.

I am married so I am legal.

I migrated here, so i am a migrant.

I need to support my family.

Is this such a hard concept to understand.

a legal migrant is one who has been been granted permanent residence in a particular country...so unless you have Thai PR your not a legal migrant in Thailand...wink.png

eg in the example in the US about the guys wife, she has been granted a green card, ie Permanent residence in the US, or to bring it back into the Thai context, what do you think the "Non-immigrant" bit means on your visa ?....it means you are not a legal migrant/immigrant and will granted a period of pre-defined stay in Thailand ie 12 months at a time and have to re-new your permission to stay periodically and meet the criteria they set.

When do the first half thai half farang children go into politics. So we have someone who is fighting for us in the government thumbsup.gif

  6. ...the question is....why did they delay the transfer.....???

...overstay...he had money to pay his airfare....that was already mentioned.....

...extradition...why didn't they send him to Bangkok.....???

    ...and how about legal representation....???..

He tried to bribe a policemen. So he is also charged in Thailand for trying to bribe an official. It was mentioned before. So before extradition he has to wait for his case in thailand.

  7. "Dont make them sad"?! Sad like the nice police offer who stopped me with my car and told me I was driving too fast what was absolutley wrong but of course after a few moments the nice officer lowered my 500 baht penalty to 200 baht but he couldn't give me a bill for it. Or the Immigration officer a few weeks ago who blackmailed me that if I dont pay 500thb I would only get 7 days instead of my regular 30 days entry to the country.

But of course I will not question that. I dont want to make these honest officers sad.

  8. Yes but any guessing how much is this ting wort? I saw a post at alibaba.com from a thai timber seller. Price was from 2000 to 2500 $ for 1 cubic meter for pradoo wood. I highly doubt that this is the Thai Price. My guess is that it is about2 cubic meter of wood what the neighbor cutted of.
