If you get a Bangkok Airways resident discount card, one way flights to BKK are 2750, which is very reasonabale. So ignore the grumpy old sods who say its expensive transport. Samui is a fabulous place to live, for all ages.

Most of the time they have no choice. If you want the job, you get in the back of the pickup.
