  1. You had a single entry visa and you made your visit, thus there is no visa remaining.    Do you have friends living in Thailand ?  If so you can apply for a multiple entry Non - Immigrant O visa. Fiji is in Australia's Thai jurisdiction, so      you can apply in Brisbane. You can use mails......ask the    full details

                               [email protected]

    Brisbane is user friendly           :o

  2. without at least 200 to 300 thousand baht in a bank in Thailand there is no chance of a one year extension of

stay.   You will need a letter from your bank evidencing   funds each time you renew. The RTCG in LA is too tough

try Houston.     Your employment prospects are minimal.

Your qualifications and experience are not strong. Stay

home and build on experience and get that degree.

Sorry to add to previous wise caveats    :o

  3. AFTER you are married, produce your marriage certificate at a Thai Embassy or Consulate and apply for a multiple entry  Non Immigrant O visa. This will enable stays of up to 90 days each time you enter Thailand during a one year period. After you have been married awhile, it may be that you can get an extension of stay at Immigration to avoid the border hops. Be aware that Thailand does not recognize de facto relationships whatsoever.
  4. I must be slow ...will someone explain why so many people go to such lengths and inconveniences to avoid getting a simple visa for Thailand.

In the light of regional security    I'd be very surprised if any airline would carry you without either a visa or an outbound ticket confirmedwithin 30 days of arrival. No carrier want to get into a fight with  Immigration because of a  passengers whim. Bringing somebody is an finable offence and the fine well exceeds the airfare paid.

  5. You and SeaV hit the nail on the head. My impression is that many Aussie's present at the Embassy thinking that any visa  is is theirs for the asking. Politeness, and liberal quantities of humble pie, together with adequate preparation, will win the day. The demeanor and dress of female applicants is so very important too. I am not singling out Australia as particularly difficult....all Embassies make it hard.
