  1. I thought the US president could pardon people, and that aint no banana republic. I think there have been a number of political type pardons too. Anyway it isnt unheard of that the polity can undo a charge or court decision.

Of course those pardons happen AFTER conviction and time served,

and don't necessarily reinstall election rights.

And they don't stop all PENDING legal trials and charges.

A pardon can be issued at any point by a US President

Think of Clinton's pardon of several people that were doing their sentence one in particular was a large donor to the Demos

Ford pardoned Nixon, after Nixon resigned during impeachment proceedings. So AFTER time served is erroneous

  2. I can hear it now from the Thai: "We don't recognize the court, they have no authority to tell us to do anything, so we don't have to abide by the ruling!"

And I agree with the Thai's right to say this. What is the UN going to do ask their lap dog Obama to enter militarily, no chance with that as the US is broke even if that idiot Obama doesn't understand that concept. What is the UN anyway mostly third rate countries groveling for more of the western world's cash for the pockets of their leaders.

  3. Is she for real? first time i actually hear her speak in English, she actually graduated with a masters in the US?she dosnt talk well and not to the point, talking talking and saying nothing?what does she actually bring to this election except being a female and someone's sister?

She doesnt sound or seem too clever at all? i hope i am wrong, but the future doesnt seem so bright here with kind of PM.

on the ther hand listen to Abhisit? nothing to comapre, i would llike this guy to run as PM for my country and many others would b happy for for such a PM, i dont get it,

We have a President that speaks what he reads in English quite well. However when the Obama speaks off the cuff he is just terrible, even more disjointed than Yingluck and certainly doesn't seem to have a point to express. But it didn't stop him from being elected. But if I voted in wouldn't be for the Reds. I can't abide Socialism or Unions

  4. If I were a defense attorney I would claim diminished capacity due to her injuries. That maybe she saw his photos on the news and her identifying him as her attacker was simply a fixation due to media exposure. That the film was too grainy on security camera etc

Do I think the scumbag will get off scot free, yes, it's the way of Thailand. And when he gets off he'll be owned by those above him a puppet on a string as payment for their services.

  5. It's the numbers that bother me. The realities would say there are children being exploited horribly by adults and they (the adults) should be sought and prosecuted. But 800,000 having sex up to 20-30 times per day. Even at 10 times per day it would add up to 8,000,000 visits per day in a country of 65,000,000 or 1 outta every eight people going to where ever the kids are. Whatever the numbers are they are high, even if it's only one child, but the numbers aren't what are given in the article.

  6. firstrowsports.eu has the sporting world decently covered. its free, and on some events offers different links to make the best connection for your situation

  7. Grandson will start taking piano lessons in a couple of weeks, and only I seem to see the need for him a keyboard at home. As he will be 4 yo in November I don't want to put a lot into it ,just something that will can represent the notes reasonably well. I'll be bringing an old upright over in a few months and I've a Casio WK-210 that I'm also bringing to tide him over a few years if it's not a passing phase.

So I'm looking for a small electronic piano as with small children they seem to lose interest quickly and don't wanna let MIL just shop as she tends to spend first and ask questions later. After all it's not her money

    Any ideas/ Thanks

The instructor will teach piano and incorporate English lessons in same time span.

  8. You people are just getting too metro for me. Toe trimming, whew. The other day there was a long touchy feely posting I don't recall the nature of, but one paragraph and I was gone and now this. Some people have just too much time on their hands and in touch with their egos.

  9. It seems to me that if art is any good it would sell for a reasonable profit, if it's not so good your in the wrong business. In the US support given to really rotten artists through monies given by Fed. state and local gov'ts often do injustice to those whose art should be sold.

  10. Dont know that he is that big in Thailand....as regards the humour...it would fit in well with the Thai concept of humour, same as Mr Bean

Benny Hill was funny, Mr Bean is mildly amusing to stupid IMHO

  11. Chalk it up to experience, mostly a rather pleasant one, but move on. Your too young,(no offense meant) and she has too much baggage.

Don't give up on Thai women, there are many great ones, seek and ye shall find, but fish in bigger pools than bars.

  12. Always wear a watch me.. especially when im in work

And when i get all dressed up and go out some where fancy like a eat all you want BBQ for 99baht...

Getting a new diving watch next week, great for Thailand its an Citizen Eco so I won't need batteries and I can wash it off when I clean my hands after eating at an all you can eat restaurant. :whistling:

  13. Sometimes it's mind infartation that cause the spelling or usage problem. I was reading an AP wire story on the Obama where the writer wrote about his "speach" You'd think they would've proof read the article. But really are we grammar police" or are our "main goals to impart ideas to one another.

  14. I think to really settle everyones minds on this the World needs to see absolute proof of his death in seeing "ALL" pictures of this A-hole DEAD, why is the US Government trying to brush this aside :whistling: It isn't 100% true till I see for myself, and I don't mean the dubbed up PhotoShop copy zooming around the Internet

    [/quote

]I think they believe that publishing the soon to be most viewed (or so they say) picture in history will cause further unrest in a region that the Muslim Brotherhood has stirred up pretty good.

  15. A friend who died a few years back spent his life as a professional musician. Randy Lewis was born with one arm that stopped at the elbow, he strap a pick to a leather cup and play away.

He was in several bands but one of the last was named "Outta Hand Band"

Some might have seen him play as the house band at Hemingways in Key West at the end of his years
