There was nothing found at the scene to suggest Mr Larsson’s death
was a homicide...The Swede’s body was found lying face up on his bed, which was covered with dried blood from wounds to his back

Evidently all of you missed the part that said she was released ON BAIL. The charges have not been dropped and she will still stand trial for murder, with no further developments.
Yes, she probably bribed the police to get bail and she is probably a high flight risk but the police did not drop the charges so 95% of the crap being spewed in this thread about the police and the justice system is incorrect.
Also interesting to note she is a British citizen.

'Hey, I'm in Pattaya/Bangkok/Chiang Mai (fill in the blanks) ....come visit me, kittung' (p.s. I don't visit, as I stay away from those places)
Yes Chiang Mai is such a bastion of filth and sin. What a good upstanding Farang you are for avoiding it - and Bangkok too!

I KNEW IT WAS PATTAYAONE BEFORE I READ A WORD
The headline alone screams this terrible sensationalist publication.
Nothing new to see hear, move along folks.
-
PattayaOne story so unlikely any of the facts are accurate and this is grossly sensationalized/possibly never happened at all.
That said, sounds like a scam gone wrong, probably didn't anticipate so much attention from the police.

Well I do like the Pizza company and sadly am probably one of their best non-corporate customers. But it is somewhat of an abortion to call it Pizza.
That said I know a bit about trademark law and I don't think there is a damned thing they can do about them calling it pizza.
I'm fairly certain I could setup a hot dog stand and call the hot dog's pizza and they couldn't do anything about that either.

I like this line from the story, "Once found, the suspects can expect to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.".........ummmmmm........what is that supposed to mean? really? the "full extent of the law"....what law?
I hope he gets better soon and makes a full recovery.
The law that says stabbing and robbing people is illegal?

Stopped reading about 'Pattaya One...'
These guys make up more stories than National Enquirer.

From Wikipedia:
They've been planning this for decades!

That is interesting. I hope they stay in power for a long time as well - some western educated and thinking folks running this country could do some good.

I have never heard of the guy outside of seeing him speak on CNN once - IIRC he spoke English with no accent and was very well spoken and seemed like a very intelligent guy. I had a good impression of him.
This article reads like a smear campaign. They didn't even attempt to appear objective. Whoever wrote it has a clear agenda against this guy.

Case-by-case basis sounds good in theory - in Thailand however that would translate to who is willing to pay the highest bribe.
What they should push for is certain areas of Samet not to be zoned as national parks.

COme on guys..... If he really want to listen at this group or drink in that bar......He just can buy them both...... That's it.... na krap .
He's not a douche bag so he wouldn't do that. Notice how he never pushed to get seats even after they knew who he was.
-
He's a low key guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. Wouldn't surprise me if he were spotted at Cheap Charlies having a drink with friends.
Leave the guy alone.

How old are you? Are you single?
29 - yes.
I'm 30, also single. Also like techno music. I might be up for it, send me a PM if you put something together.

Calling the British Embassy would have done the trick after her rape incident 7 years ago. She stayed anyway.

I would buy a condo in Thailand for less than 100k Pounds and live very cheaply.

She could have gotten away if she wanted to and she surely knew he had drugs there.
She should not be put to death imo but she did commit a crime.

In addition the Tourist Police employ farang as volunteer police. No money but something to do and I'm sure they'd take you with all of that experience. I've seen them specifically in Pattaya and Koh Samui, I'm sure they hire them other places too. In Koh Samui the farang appear to be running the operation.

There are several private detective services, mostly proving to love-sick British dudes that there 'girlfriend' is cheating on them the second they leave the country.
I have inquired about work with one and they said they only hired people with experience in law enforcement.
Don't know how much they pay but it is probably interesting work. You could also found your own firm doing the same thing.
Edit: spelling

Huge difference between Phuket and Koh Samui as far as where you will be spending your holiday. If you have not already done so, I'd advise spending a week or two in each place before deciding where to buy.
Also if you only plan to buy it to spend a couple weeks a year there - wouldn't it make much more financial sense to rent???
