Many Areas Of Bangkok Flooded After Torrential Rain
WebGuy replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The last time it was in 2011 and back then I lived out of BKK. Many people came to my place escaping the floods. In average this happens every 10 years so it is time to happen now. -
Thai Permanent Residency enquiry
WebGuy replied to AustinRacing's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Also eligible for the PR, speak some street Thai but can't get into the type of conversation beyond: Where are you from? I am from ... I have a wife (but not I am married). Where are you going? I am going there and there. I am hungry / not hungry etc. I would / wouldn't like ... However, I read somewhere that if I could speak about myself for 10 minutes in Thai, I should be fine. No way I could speak 10 minutes about myself in Thai. When I meet my father in law and we have beer, I ask him if he worked today, how he is i.e. max 5 - 7 sentences and that's it. -
There are sometimes students with horrible behavior. Of course they are huge minority but they may belong to this group who got hit by teachers. I remember once while I still worked as a teacher, my British colleague had his bottom hit by three prathom 2 students. He was an older man but these small creatures did it all the time. They tried the same with me and then I reported it to Thai teacher who was sitting in front of the classroom. She took one of those three students out and the boy was back with teary eyes. He sat down and was a good boy. No running around the classroom and trying to hit teacher's bottom anymore. However, next time he did it again.

Meet “Pareploy”, former female boxer behind the viral street brawl
WebGuy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That's right. She could have just kicked him once, twice, three or four times and finish with that but not to make a circus on the street from it following him down the road bl bla bla bla -
I have just double checked with my wife. He actually received only the first dose of Sinopharm and that's when this happened. It's been for a more than a month ago now. I will edit my post.

Hi guys, After the first dose of Sinopharm my wife's cousin could not breathe, felt some pain in chests and went to a government hospital. The doctor diagnosed him with depression. Then he visited a private clinic to ask for a second opinion and there they also said it was due to depression. This all happened more than a month ago. I talked with him and asked if he had ever had this problem and he responded negatively. I have known him for 6 years. He is a 20 years old guy whose regular job was selling shrimps in a night market. Actually, he started experiencing these issues right after the vaccine when he was selling shrimps in late afternoon so he went to the hospital right away. He was just a normal person who sometimes visited our family gatherings and never had any health issues. Due to this issue he had to stop working and is just at home feeling sick all the time. He cannot normally breathe, when he stands up, he starts feeling tired and goes to the bed again. Also he feels a pain in the chest. The family does not look for a way to get this properly reported so that at least he can get some compensation from the government. I say to my wife to push them to take him to a doctor and to take these previous two results but she says she cannot do that (I am ready to contribute for the medical bill). His family sent him to spend 30 days as a monk in a temple hoping it would help. It is really a shame for a young life to be ruined like this and no one to be taken responsible for it. Does anyone know where we could report this case or what could be done in order to bring this forward because he is young and life is in front of him? Thank you in advance, Cosmo

Udon police arrest Swiss expat who killed armed intruder at his home

Not anti farang laws. For example in Serbia, if you are attacked you can defend yourself but with an equal weapon as the attacker has it. That is, if he comes at you with a knife and you shot him with a gun, you are in a trouble and cannot escape prison. I know this rule is stupid but this is how it works there. I am interesting what the law is in Thailand when it comes to this type of cases because I live with a child and wife and was wandering what would be a proper defense if 2 - 3 rapists / burglars would break into our house. -
