  1. Does anyone have experience in what happens in the following situations:

     - You have a dashcam which clearly shows the other party is at fault but the other guy has painted over his numberplate so it's not-visible in the footage. Can you still claim it as being the other party's fault without being able to identify them?

     - You have a dash cam which clearly shows the other party is at fault but they flee the scene and you have their number plate? I've been previously told that I need to identify the person who caused the accident and the car license plate is not enough to make a not-at-fault claim.

Or do you need to chase them down if you don't want an at-fault claim?

You being far too polite! An Imbecilic Moron would be closer!

Right, so you're from the crowd that acts recklessly and expects others to foot the bill. Grow up and learn some responsibility. This ain't the UK where the government protects you from your own stupidity, if you can't take responsibility for yourself then stay at home.

Respectfully, hasn't this subject been beaten to death? There are two camps: Those who accept the science and those who don't. You are not likely to change minds using science/facts. Just sayin'.

The problem is people like the below, who take the science and interpret it in their own way to conform to their pre-existing beliefs.

Fully vaccinated people as likely to spread Delta variant as unvaccinated, a yearlong U.K. study shows.

    Try to keep up. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(21)00648-4/fulltext

This study shows that breakthrough cases of vaccinated people who were infected in household settings by people with high enough viral loads to be symptomatic are just as likely to spread the Delta variant as the general unvaccinated population.

Vaccinated people are less likely to get infected in the first place and they're less likely to be exposed to high viral load cases than unvaccinated people, so overall they are less likely to spread the disease.

The study is useful to show that symptomatic vaccinated cases should be subject to isolation just like unvaccinated cases except with a shorter length due to faster viral clearance. It does not show that vaccinated people are just as likely to spread the disease.

I can only judge him by his arguments. Not by unproveable comments about his personal status. When someone writes obfuscatory stuff like this

"Nobody knows one way or the other. "The science" has been "changing" non-stop since the pandemic began. Its been almost 2 straight years of speculative reporting and scientific studies, so no point in speculating any further. "

it's quite clear where they stand.

How can something be obfuscatory and quite clear at the same time?

Nothing about his comment is anti-vax, he's just claiming that we don't know how many more doses will be needed for long-term immunity which is true.

Cool, thanks for sharing your knowledge about the process. For the 90 day reports being done by a staff office in Bangkok, instead of having to do them yourself, do you still have to communicate with the staff office every 90 days to confirm that your residence hasn't changed? (And I assume that legally, you're still supposed to also get TM30 forms filed for "registration of alien resident" every time you stay overnight anywhere, although pragmatically this seems unenforceable?) Or is the arrangement with the staff office more hands-off, like you don't have to communicate with them or be involved in the 90 day reporting process at all unless you're notifying them that you've changed residences (e.g. you're now on vacation in Phuket, or you're now out of the country, or you sold your condo and moved to a new condo - otherwise, you never have to communicate with them and the reporting process just happens automatically from your perspective)?

It's very hands-on. You need to send the passport to them and there's a fee if you're not based on Bangkok. Personally I find doing it myself easier.

When you pay 1,900 to extend an elite visa each year, is it an unlimited multi-entry extension (e.g. I'm free to go back to the U.S. and come back into Thailand every month if I want, theoretically)? Because I think for the marriage visa extension to be multi-entry, it's 3,800 or 5,000 baht or something like that and maybe it's not unlimited exits and entries?

With the elite visa being 1 year, extended every year, what are you actually purchasing when you buy the 20 year package? Are you purchasing a guarantee that they will grant 19 annual extensions without having to pay any additional fees aside from the 1,900 baht?

Sorry I meant 1 year stay permissible. The visa itself is 5 years, but only allows for 1 year stay at a time. This 1 year stay can be extended unconditionally up until the visa expires for the 1900 baht each time. If you leave the country, the 1 year starts counting again so you only need to pay the 1900 baht if you stay continuously for 1 year. You need to get a new visa stamp after 5 years. I'm not sure if you need to leave the country for that but I doubt it (I'm only on the 5 year program).
