  1. Just checking how it would work for myself. My 1 year retirement is done in Ubon using my Ubon address. We also have a house in Chiang Rai, on both houses my wife is the owner. lets say online is not working and i am in CR when the 90 day report is due, would i need to go with my wife to the CR IO and make the report there and then when i return to Ubon go to the IO there and inform them i have returned.
  2. Forget about the forms, i just recently done everything by phone. After you give your NI # and all is clear with your file, they will ask various questions. I never had to send any document's to there office. Also have your bank info handy. Its very easy and i had no issues receiving the payment.
  3. I just started to receive my government pension from the UK. When i went to BB last week i asked for the Credit Advice to observe what was sent in GBP, the staff told me they do not receive the funds direct as Citibank BKK are the ones who transfer the funds to my BB account, so it is Citi who do the conversion and then transfer in Baht to BB. I have no account with Citi so i assume its not possible to view what was sent from the UK
  4. In Ubon my wife has never been with me to obtain or renew my retirement visa, i have only given them a signed copy of my yellow book. On one visit they asked if i was married and i called my wife and let her talk with the IO, she told me they asked who owned the house and required her tel number to keep on file
  5. I entered the 13 digit number from my pink id card, and this was accepted. No further info was required.
  6. This is my first payment, so i am just finding my way around how it works.
  7. On October 2021 i applied to receive my UK state pension that would take effect from Nov 2021, i used my Thai Bangkok Bank account # to receive the payments. Today i received a payment and the ref was Baht Net, can someone confirm if this is the code used, also is there a way of checking what amount was sent in GBP prior to being converted to Baht
  8. If you wish to call it your wall you may need to build a new wall in your land against the existing wall, some house beside me had a similar issue and the office told them the dividing wall was owned by both land owners.
  9. After some thought i am going to do as you mentioned, block off the PVC outlet as they requested and divert the water to the front gate whare it can run into the gravel in a more discreat fashion. I will also get my wife to go to the Or Bor Tor office and just get some info on what the rules are supposed to be. This ain't my first Rodeo in Thailand playing games with these clowns.
  10. That is correct the land opposite me is level with the dirt road and has been unused for many years. If i blocked the PVC outlet then the water would have to go out the bottom of the gate, as its impossible to hold the rain water inside our land. I guess i need to wait and check what the office thinks when i visit them next week.
  11. No i do not use a VPN, regarding the modem reset is this just a off/on job
  12. I attempted so sign into my Thai PP account today, yesterday was no issue. Error 403 Forbidden Forbidden Guru Mediation: Details: cache-qpg1251-QPG 1637215109 1557426016
  13. I have recently completed a new house in Chiang Rai, the land is around 30cm above the height of the dirt road. This particular public road is only soil and some stone chips similar to a farm road and has also various pot holes. To remove excess water from the land we cut 2 holes in the front wall and inserted PVC pipe so when it rains water will exit on to this road, please note no drainage system has ever existed. At present we are not in CR and just got a call from the Poo Yai Ban's helper that people who are using that road have complained regarding the water leaving my land as they have to drive through this water when it rains, perhaps around 4in or slightly deeper in the pot holes. He told my wife we need to blank the pvc so no water can exit When we get back next week we will go to the Or Bor Tor office and talk with staff and check what they advise. Just checking if any of you guys have been faced with the same issue ?
  14. Are you sending the funds in USD or Baht to your Thai PP account from the USA ?, as if sent in USD PP will convert to Baht at a very poor rate and then transfer to your Thai bank account.
  15. I made another call today to PP and got a different person from yesterday, the filipino guy i talked with spoke crystal clear English. I told him on the PP website it states no more personal accounts or restricted personal accounts after Feb 18 2022, he told me to wait till he checked my account. I was then informed for the second time on my personal account everthing will be the same as before after i complete the 2 step verification, i was also informed the mail will be sent out around Jan 2022 The only problem will be if i do not let them have the info by Feb 18 2022. I think they already have went through their Thai based clients and its some in and some out.
  16. I told her i do not want or need a buisness account and it was clear that we were talking about a personal account. She told me i will receive a mail and it will explain how to process the two step verification. As you will know performing any task in Thailand is never simple with different versions. The verification for a business account is a lot more complex for someone going that route
  17. I also called PP this morning and the lady i talked with told me a different version. I told her i required information on what was going on in Thailand regarding this new system. I informed her i have a personal account and she asked some info so she could check my account. I then told her i need to know if my account will be restricted after 18th Feb, her answer was if i do not complete the two step verification before the cut off date what funds i have will be sent to my BB account and i need to start the whole process from scratch. If my verification is accepted my account will opperate same as before. Now we have two different versions by PP so i am not sure which one of us was given the wrong information
  18. Zoom is a service from Pay Pal you can log in with your normal PP account, can you explain how this Zoom can be a possible walkaround ?
  19. As per the PP site they quote the following Yes, there will be some changes. * See details below:Bank withdrawals Only businesses registered in Thailand can withdraw funds from PayPal Thailand accounts and withdrawals must be made to Thai bank accounts in THB. Linked Thai bank accounts must be registered to the same business as the PayPal business account. Withdrawals to U.S. bank accounts will not be available. PayPal personal accounts will not be able to hold a balance or withdraw funds.
  20. After going to the PP site its bad news unless you register and are accepted under all the new conditions. I was going to ask if there is any other option with some other company but i am guessing Thailand will have this new rules applied to all these type of services. I have an account with HSBC Jersey and wondering if i could open a new account with PP and use my daughters address in the UK
  21. I have had a personal PP account here for many years and no one from PP has informed me my account will be closed on Feb 22, do you have a link to the statment from PP ? After reading this info i will call them on Monday and find out what is going on regarding this closure date.
