No, it's not "baiting at all. It's correcting your statements.

For example, above, you say, "...if they were not there, then they would not be harmed..." Yes, and if the IDF were not there, they would not be harmed either. These Palestinians have a right to be there. Gaza is their home. The IDF has no right to be there except, in their mind, they have the right to engage in a revengeful invasion of Gaza, looking for anyone they consider to be Hamas to kill.

Well said, that's exactly the situation.

Situation: The police are chasing a man who has just committed multiple homicides. He breaks into a house, gathers up a family (man, woman, and two kids), and barricades himself in a room with them. The police enter the house and break down the door to the room. The murderer is armed and is in a corner of the room holding the family, who are now bound, in front of him.

Human shields should never be accepted as collateral damage or justified in the pursuit of military objectives.

My remark was in reference to your post blaming the killing of "human shields" on Hamas. The IDF is the group that is killing them. Hamas did put them there, but so did the Israelis allow the concert near the border with Gaza. I'm not blaming Israel for that, but if you use the same argument as you do about "human shields," you could.

Good point. Not so much human shields but like flies, baiting Hamas.

Deputy Knesset speaker Nissim Vaturi from the ruling Likud party wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Israelis had one common goal, “erasing the Gaza Strip from the face of the earth.”

They are on course, thanks to the USA, who vote against ceasefire, provide the IDF with $billions and make the weapons that IDF use to reach their goal.

Not a good time to be an Israeli or Yank. Shame on you.

The priority for Israel now is war.

    This war that Hamas started.

And the rest of the world is telling them to stop, including the US, who support them financially and give them bombs. Even the POTUS said they were bombing indiscriminately!!

This will not end well for Israel.

Winning means being free of worrying  about further October 7 type attacks for many many years.

Israel's long-term security depends on its ability to engage constructively with Palestine, uphold democratic values, and work towards a just and sustainable peace in the region. Sadly, they are not doing this and just care about getting the land, at any cost.

    Do you condone Ethnic cleaning?

What would the UN do if they didn't have Israel to kick around anymore?

What are you on about? Israel benefits from the UN - diplomatic support, peacekeeping, humanitarian assistance, and development cooperation.

The UN address human rights abuses and violations of international law committed by Israeli, more than other countries as erm ..... you know why.

    Exactly.

They need to win to survive as a nation.

A country like the US can afford to lose wars.

Israel loses one and its over.

How on Earth do you think Israel could not win?

    Gazans at at their mercy.

Do you support the US supporting Israel in this conflict?

Poll results were also hawkish when it came to the use of force in Gaza: 57.5% of Israeli Jews said that they believed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were using too little firepower in Gaza, 36.6% said the IDF was using an appropriate amount of firepower, while just 1.8% said they believed the IDF was using too much fire power, while 4.2% said they weren’t sure whether it was using too much or too little firepower.

Most Israelis think the IDF are using too little force!!!

    Oh dear, speaks volumes.

No, I do admit that Hamas is losing this "war." That's apparent. However, since Hamas also holds 300+ hostages and is getting more and more of the world on its side because of the appalling actions of IDF in Gaza, they are still in a position to accept an agreement that will include a permanent/sustained ceasefire and exchange of hostages/prisoners. Then, with the support of their new allies or at least the waning of the support of Israeli allies, maybe there can be an agreement on a two-state solution. We'll just have to wait and see what happens here.

It's so sad that they had to take drastic measures just to stop the Israel aggression. At least the world can see them for what they are now.

As a kid I cheered on Israeli in the 1967 war. Why focus on what kids do? We played cowboys and indians when I was a kid. The cowboys were always the heroes. I read war comics which were appallingly racist propaganda.

It was on Israeli state TV!

The Video is sung in Hebrew but you can Google it

Agree this is not 100% on topic and I will not expand on it, but in these examples we are talking about discriminatory policies implemented by the government, as well as widespread racist behaviour by the auhorities and population.

Israel prides itself on being a homeland for the Jewish people, non-Jews are discriminated against in all areas, especially in the immigration process.

Israel's legal framework and status as a Jewish state are unique. A Thai Buddhist could not get Israeli citizenship, yet an Israeli can get Thai citizenship, I know a Rabbi who is a naturalized Thai.

Chief rabbi calls black people ‘monkeys’

In footage aired by the Ynet news site, Yosef could be seen referring to black people by the word “kushi,” which in modern Hebrew has pejorative connotations, and then going on to term a black person a “monkey.” His office told Ynet that the comparison was a quote from the Talmud.
    [...]

Non-Jews, Yosef said, are in Israel only to serve Jews.
