  1. In the 80s in Scotland. Was hard being an alcoholic.
  2. Many parties happen on this day. It's traditional for young men to ordain during the Lent and they want to party. There are also many alcoholics that go to the temple as they don't know any other cure.
  3. “Grudges are for those who insist that they are owed something. Forgiveness, however, is for those who are substantial enough to move on.” Criss Jami
  4. If anyone wants soe advice, I recommend this youtuber
  5. I've no idea why the poster you quote is talking about me, or my friend. Strange, I'd have thought he would have realized he's on ignore for being abusive.
  6. I used the woman toilet yesterday at the hospital. It was by mistake but not a big deal here.
  7. Yes, I lived in Isarn for 20 years and never saw what you are describing.
  8. Not true. Maybe in tourist areas like Pattaya, where the dregs of the world meet the scum of Thailand.
  9. I've seen the same where I come from. Where are you from? Recently in East London, I was scared walking down the main street at night.
  10. Thai rarely get into fights. Back in Leith and Aberdeen, I was beaten up my many gangs, Soccer Casuals, Punks, Bikers, etc. It often started a square go but I was a good fighter(Chinese Boxing) so when I was winning the others would jump in. I've only been in 3 fights here, one with a taxi driver, one in a pool bar in Pat Pong and one in a night club. I got up to no good in the 90s here as an alcoholic and if I had done the same in Scotland I'd maybe be dead. Thais stop the kicking early. It is just not true, made up by macho, racist farang.
  11. This is going nowhere. The war started many years ago and the polarization on this thread means you will never agree as to whom started it.
  12. Yes, I know a few, one is studying in Israel to be a Rabbi.
  13. No, Thais practice non-confrontation, like many Asian countries. It's indirect communication style and has many advantages although it took my near 20 years to understand.
  14. Thanks Sherly, another thing she said was I need a card from the local SS office, but they told me they don't give cards anymore.
  15. Interesting, thanks. Yes, I have thought about becoming Jewish but will probably not and just practice what I have learned. I start my day with a Jewish prayer, thanking God for restoring my soul and giving me breath for the day. My AA sponsor(spiritual advisor) is Jewish.
  16. It is the Premium Clinic in Hua Hin Hospital, who I get the feeling are not happy taking people on SS. I used it in the main hospital a couple of weeks ago and there was no problem. I have to go back to get a 24 hour heart test, which involves some kind of monitor to take home. The doctor said,I could use the SS. The clinic told me to contact the Main desk in the main Hospital. The woman there said I was still registered in another province and I told her I wasn't, I'd been to the SS office already and changed. She told me to return with copy of my ID, Housebook(which is still i another province) and some utility bill or proof I am staying here.
  17. Indeed, The latest is that I can't use my SS as I changed province/hospitals and I have to wait 6 months! However, i used it for asthma medication 2 weeks ago.
  18. I've had stalkers before, you're not the first. Are you saying only poor people suffer from addiction? Come on man, your better than that.
  19. BTC is up 14.4% since I started this thread 3 days ago 😉 Maybe you should take some advice.
  20. Here you go again, assuming I have no money. Did you really only find out about BTC in 2020? I find that hard to believe. Sounds like someone has sour grapes about missing the early boat. Yes degree from Aberdeen Uni, and MA from Napier University, you'll know John Napier for discovering Logarithms.
  21. Why would you want to be part of a religious group of people if you don't believe in what their community is based on?
  22. Good post.
  23. Strange, I assumed you were Jewish and would know about St. Barnabas.
