  1. Having sex with a lady boy is not gay.
  2. Good point. Remember, Chinese used to be called 'Jek' which the equivalent of farang' for Westerners. They stopped accepted being called by a racial term, I'm sure you seen or farang who call themselves that!
  3. That's my point. Unlike other ethnicities, like the Chinese or Indians. Many farang here are happy to door mats.
  4. Why do you keep bringing my nationality up in every post you reply to? You must have a chip on your shoulder about it. This thread is about farangs being called mister.
  5. never been called papa
  6. You quoted a word that doesn't mean what we were talking about. How am I up my own arse? What was the joke?
  7. My wife has no family in Khon Kaen, where we lived. Just an uncle in the Air Force in Roi Et. We only visited him twice in 18 years. We were living in Bkk and we moved there to open a restaurant. We did have a 'poo yai' friend there but fell out with them after a year. We decided to stay there as we like it much more than Bangkok.
  8. Don't do it, it's crazy. Makes no sense to do then complain about the danger. I would NEVER ride a bike or motorbike on main roads here. Who died?
  9. I chose to live there for 18 years. My wife is from Lopburi. Lovely people.
  10. No it isn't, I live outside tourist areas for decades. If a Thai calls me khun, it is not disrespecting me at all, unless possibly it comes from a bar girl.
  11. I'm not a doctor. As people age, their ability to conserve water and sense thirst may diminish, making them more susceptible to dehydration. Additionally, older adults may have certain medical conditions or take medications that can further increase the risk of dehydration.
  12. the correct amount varies with age
  13. Also, in your country, would it be of no consequence if Latino looking people were addressed as 'Senor' at a public hospital? Or if in the UK, the Indian looking people were given ''Shree before their name? Would you consider this racist there?
  14. Thanks for the input. I doubt it's only me though.
  15. No, mister is the equivalent of 'nai'. Khun is an honorific or a pronoun. Sometimes I get 'you' which is the translation of 'khun'. Mister is OK sometimes with me, for example when in a tourist area. What bugs me is when going through the public hospital process when they shout out the names. They don't say brown people's names, just their name. When it me, or other white guys, they say 'mister'.
  16. What are you on about? What is thaier than Thai?
  17. Never had one, but did have an aunt Fanny.
  18. I never ask, just get in and tell them where to go. Never have a problem.
  19. Here is one of the said above.
  20. This has nothing to do with my nationality. There are some here that bring my nationality into every thread I post. They seem to resent it in some way.
  21. Recently on a trip to Aberdeen, I was met a few times with 'aye aye foos yer doos'. Aye pecking is normal response ????
  22. Good post. Ethnic groups in the UK stick together and fight for their rights. In Thailand farang seem quite happy to remain discriminated against. AS long as this happens, we will never get equality.
