  1. Did the airline ask to see the Thai Passports?
  2. Why would you show immigration your WP? I got a WP once, left the job immediately and kept the visa for a year. Then when I applied for a WP, I paid 1500 baht at Din Daeng police station. Hovever this was many years ago, it might have changed. You should be OK to exit, only an Immigration officer can change your visa, your former work cannot, the DoL cannot.
  3. Great avacados at a good price.
  4. And of course he will not be allowed to learn Thai language.
  5. He will not listen, and she will gradually keep people like you away from him. He will be on web forums like this in 5 years, complaining about anything Thai.
  6. One of the best concerts I've ever been to was his comeback tour re 1982.
  7. Good news for you, he can look after your missus's family.
  8. He won't listen, so no point. Ridiculous when he could get a woman with no kids. NEVER hook up with Thai woman with a son from previous marriage.
  9. I used to work in the Shangri-la Hotel in Bangkok and think it's unfair to tip the maids if you don't tip the laundry, security, front desk, consierge, etc. There are to many on this thread, and foreigner in Thailand generally that care too much what the Thais think of them. I never tip barbers, dentists, or gardeners. Farang who tip make it hard for the ones who've lived here a long time and understand the culture. I tipped my caddie 340 baht tip today and didn't even get a thank you.
  10. Mumbo Jumbo? Do you not believe in Karma? I used to not believe certainly religious beliefs until I met the Dalai Lama in his home in India. I shook his hand an had a spiritual experience. In the retreat I visited, I saw Karma in action and things I never would have believed. I took part in a mediation with a senior Tibetan lama. There was a Q&A session where a young Israeli girl insulted some Buddhist monks in the town of McLeod Ganj who ate meat. She said they 'were like pigs'. 10 minutes later we all meditated and she fell over and started grunting in a sleep. It was bizarre, instant Karma. The same Lama who had never met Westerners couldn't believe most didn't believe in reincarnation. I remember this every time I hear Westerners ignorantly say Karma is not real. Remember most of the people in the world believe and understand Karma, you are the minority.
  11. if I were you, I'd jump back into bed and try getting out the other side.
  12. OK, fair enough. I've never been a monger, so wouldn't know. I did know one guy who said he had 8 hookers in a day there! If they are allowed in the hotel, couldn't you just ask the management for extra towels when needed?
  13. Not at all. Karma is like gravity, it's a universal law.
  14. It was pointed out to me, in McLeod Ganj, that beggars are welcome as it allows you to 'improve' your own Karma, not theirs. Do you kill venomous snakes? Many Thais do, and I tend to agree with this. Soi dogs don't attack people.
  15. Great, thanks a lot for the info, I'll check the prices.
  16. Do those air cleaners work, thinking of getting some for my house. I have breathing issues since getting Covid.
  17. I agree but why do you need extra towels?
  18. But it's not religious.
  19. I can't see anything about religion. Can you copy and post what you see?
  20. What is religious about them? You have religion on the brain!
