  1. I know many teachers who don't learn the language after 20 years! bizarre,
  2. Cost 5,000 baht. Took me 3 years but longer now with a new government, No lawyer needed - total waste of money, https://www.thaicitizenship.com/acquring-thai-citizenship/
  3. You don't need to speak any Thai if you are married to a Thai,
  4. I doubt it, many long term expats are not aware of it.
  5. I am most certainly not giving support to the Iranian regime.
  6. I know what you mean, but these groups are regarded by most in Iran as freedom fighters, or resistance.
  7. Safer than on a bus; I took a helicopter to work when working as a petroleum engineer and there were no fatalities in the 2 years I did it.
  8. Not a problem, I only worked in the UK for 5 years and will get a full pension for only paying 150 GBP a year in voluntary class 2 contributions. They will give me 220 GBP a week 🙂 Only a problem if you live to 90, and the odds are well against most from doing that, and if you do, it's a bonus, and you'll have grandkids/great grandkids to look after you.
  9. Well said. Rather sad when people from one culture condemn another country's values and morals. I've met many Brits who hate Muslims telling the UK that their moral code is wrong, yet tell Iran that theirs are wrong. It takes all sorts to make a world.
  10. I agree with you on things like shooting people in the eye, but who are we to tell other cultures how to behave? Would I like it if a bunch of Iranians came to Thailand and told us to stop selling ganja and alcohol? My post was about being peace-loving and not starting wars.
  11. Could say exactly the same if was any political leader. If you actually believe in Karma, it makes no sense your comment.
  12. Although he was far from a saint, he did a lot of good for the Palestinian cause, he consistently used his platform to voice support for the Palestinian people and their struggle for self-determination. He frequently condemned Israeli actions in the Palestinian territories and advocated for the rights of Palestinians. He also opposed peace agreements with Israel that were perceived as detrimental to Palestine and didn't address the fundamental issues of Palestinian statehood and sovereignty. He gave moral support to Palestinians, who would otherwise all be dead by now.
  13. Some rather negative comments about a country that is generally peace loving. I find it funny when an American, for example, thinks Iran is evil. Iran has not started any war in the last say 100 years, compared to the US who have started many and one for a made up reason, yet the Muslims are the bad guys....
  14. Indeed, the release of all administrative prisoners and hostages would be a good starting point for peace talks. Then the return of land taken by settlers, and forming a Palestinian State would be the next best thing.
  15. They capture UN medical experts, who are reportedly tortured to death.
  16. I agree with you, and this guy.
  17. I find X the best place for the truth.
  18. What a horrible, Islamophobic, ignorant statement. Do you think this is All Muslims?
  19. Do you think the 'the Times of Israel' is unbiased?
  20. No mention of Palestinian narrative and focuses only on Israel's role as a security partner, giving a a one-sided view showing bias in favor of Israel. Could a Jewish Institute really be expected to be anything other than supporting Israel?
