Which hospital, is that where you got vaccine? Why cannot they give vaccine pp same time as jab?

Maybe they need time to prepare it ? I think I am the only one there requesting it.  I live in a rural farming area. And as far as I know, the only western foreigner here.

Please do, I can barely by a small pack of Khaoneow now with my chicken leg from the corner vendor, of course I do get free water by holding up my cup in the rain, it also gets full of minerals from the PM 2.5 as the rain falls through the air here in BKK.

My daughter is eating that right now, only 15 baht. She won't share it with me.

  4. I receive my second dose today, and I was told I can get a vaccine passport issued next week at the hospital. I was just interested to know if anyone has one of these .  I was told it will be valid for 3 months and I can renew it if needed.  why would it have an expiration ?

Sounds like a good idea but I would make one small change.

Vaccinate them all with 2 shots of AstraZeneca vaccine as if they were completely unvaccinated - because they pretty much are unvaccinated.

Erase the Chinese vaccine from all records that are used to prove vaccination, it doesn't work.

Today, they replaced the second dose of Sinovac with AstraZeneca for everyone here. They had someone go to the hospital and bring a vial of Sinovac just for me, next week the hospital will give me a vaccine passport, but I don't quite understand why the passport is only valid for 3 months then you can request another one. ?? They know I only needed it so I can get a Chinese visa, Very kind and helpful they were. I will wait a few weeks to get a booster dose of AstraZeneca.

I did watch the vid, he says second hand vehicles can't be imported, yet it is happening. The devil is in the details. Electric bikes on Albaba are $3,000, the same bike is selling here for B178,000. If it could be imported without tax then there'd be a considerable saving. This is what I was looking into. I've also read they will introduce an import tax on EVs from China, as they weren't mentioned in the FTA.

Huh ? The Electric bikes in China are very cheap, not thousands of dollars, you can buy them from a hundred on up. most are about 2-4 hundred.

Have you thought about California? It’s not a country, but it kind of is. Weed is legal and you can pitch a tent in almost any city there - right on the sidewalk!! And a good tent will only run you about $400.

Good advice, and I hear San Francisco has the best panhandling opportunities.

And my family still does not understand my unwillingness to return to the States...

Yeah, I left years ago, I couldn't stand the PC people then, and now I can't imagine how awful it must be to live there now.

Yes, I agree. The kids on bikes really bother me, especially the under aged ones, I personally would fight it and refuse to let a claim against me if one of them hits my car and wants compensation .  But.... I know that would never happen, i would lose . Even though they have no license, most bikes are not even registered so don't have insurance, I would still have to pay and i don't know why !

I totally agree. Thais in general drive pretty decently.

Motorbikes are more of a problem, you find underage kids, drunk people, but well at the end of the day it's them risking their life vs a dent in your car, so.... their own problem.

But when it comes to car, they are much more patient, chill, and overall drive defensively - contrary to the West. It's a million times bette.

Only cuz if an accident victim arrives at hospital alive and dies there they aren't included in highway death statistics. So there's a good chance Thailand is number 1.

In China, they double run over you to make sure your dead if they accidentally hit you. They have an incentive for citizens to kill other persons rather than gravely injure them (and become financially liable for their ongoing care):  Google it ! it is real .
