Ahh - Brilliant - So no issues to report - Just turn up with $35, passport, paperwork, photo, 30Thb bus fare and back to Nong Khai for coffee - Thanks for that thaitom

I'm a USA citizen, they asked for 40. dollars or 1700. baht.    I just noticed that laos stamped me in for 2 months instead of the usual 1 month, is this something new ?

Of course, I have a smartphone.

I have a Samsung Note4, updated to the newest OS, Marshmallow 6.0.1.

I have been using this smartphone since around 2014.

    It's a great phone.

But, not sure how this might relate to purchases made at Makro or Go Wholesale....

Android OS 14 is the latest, your marshmallow 6 is 9 years old.

it relates due to that you can scan the QR code to pay at the cashier. that is if your smartphone has a bank app on it.

If this is for a teaching job seems like schools are far more insistent on checks for UK than US. I'd never been requested and employed by half dozen schools. My advice if you're anticipating rather than knowing check with the school.

Any other job types I've no idea

For Gov.schools here...the school will send you to  the immigration forensics dept.  pay 100.baht ,pick it up in a week.   all they do is check if you are a criminal in thailand. useless.

  5. Hi....  I just tried to do my 90 day report and it was rejected. I had stamp transfered to new passport and i assumed the databased was updated. The reason for rejection is, first time 90 day report has to be done in person. my question is should i have used the old passport number ?  It is a USA passport and the number changes when renewed.      Thank you in advance.

Partly correct. Your re-entry permit protects your original permission to stay so if you are returning to the same address a new TM30 is not required, but when re-entering using a multi-entry visa you get a new permission of stay. When you leave Thailand your current permission of stay is cancelled (unless you have a re-entry permit) so your next entry, even if you have used the visa before, is a new permission of stay and a TM30 will need to be registered. Using the same visa for entry is not the same as using your re-entry permit.

This is exactly what the immi officer told me.

OP, as others have stated she has no issue.

Be aware that with Jetstar sometimes you need to request a senior staff member if there is an issue at check in.

The 6 month rule even for non Thai does not apply for Thailand.

    It's an airline thing.

In any event she is Thai.  No problem.

BTW my thai gf had to renew her pp recently.

She went to the office that deals with that here in Bangkok.

The new pp arrived NEXT day ems ...I kid you not.

The six month rule does not apply to Thailand ?
