Trump apparently would prefer an election contest against Sanders compared to any of the other main Democratic contenders...

That alone ought to be very concerning for anyone who wants a Democratic candidate to beat Trump in November.

America "swings like a pendulum do" Somebody "doing it, in the middle of the road" probably wouldn't beat Trump. It's going to take a radical swing, and the young people have nothing to lose. They are <deleted> sick of corporate welfare.

Hell, the whole Democrat party is after Bernie.  His way left socialist stance is hurting them really bad.

Dream on. The babies you were making are coming of age, and they ain't swallowing the socialist rhetoric <deleted> you spew. Corporate socialism is coming to an end, and it is long overdue. Millennials to the rescue. It doesn't take very long for demographics to change the political spectrum.

They DO give a toss about what China thinks though.

It's China who are pulling all the strings and are allowing all this to go ahead, a regime that is by all in name loyal to China. If at any time China had an issue with the democracy and elections in Thailand, they would have put a stop to it.

The whole of SE asia have become part of the United States of China

China is just a big overpopulated _hithole with societal problems way to numerous to list. So when did China start "pulling the strings" in Thailand as you suggest? Thailand's military has been repressing democracy since they were given their share of the pie in 1932.

Brad (Pitt) I'm surprised you have anytime to post here what with your movies and such like.  Women always know they can smell money even when they can't see it - from the clothes, watches and shoes you wear and all the other details of your life. Women aren't stupid on the whole - unlike a lot of us men  ????????. Lovely story btw probably a really nice bloke. Melania's 49 btw.

She looks like she aged dramatically during Trump's 3 year presidency.

Interesting, I wasn’t aware of the airline restriction.

There is a plan to introduce ID style cards to expats which will include their visa status etc. No idea when that’ll happen as it’s been talked about for ages, but IMO it would be a better option than the pink ID card that isn’t really meant for expat use.

My Thai drivers license uses my passport number has the license ID number. Renewed in 2018.

They are perhaps the most on-the-take office in the country. That’s why visa agents in Pattaya don’t get bothered or even slow down during visa crackdowns. It’s always business as usual there if you’re using an agent who sends you directly to a certain person in the Jomtien office who handles whatever visa / stamp you need. They have quite a system going there.

  7. thailand gets more like the USA every day

    sad, tragic and unnecessary

Wow, took 47 posts to finally get to USA bashing. Must be some kind of record. I am from USA, and risk of getting shot for no reason much higher here.

I totally agree. THis is a much more dangerous place than the US. At leas in the U.S. a lot of crime like this is in the shitty parts of town and you can avoid those areas. Unfortunately in Thailand, all parts of town are shitty. Even mixed in the nice places in the sois of high-end Thong Lor, you have people living in huts with corrugated roofs. I've been here for 12 years and I've never seen a "nice area" without blight anywhere in this country. I live in a high-end mooban, but as soon as I step outside to the sois on the left and right we have trash.

It's a byproduct of not paying any property tax. Wealthy Thais put up with a lot of crap because of this system. Apparently though it doesn't affect property values in a dumbed down society.

  8. It should be understood that since the murders several family’s lives have been turned to hell, in England and in Burma.

How ever ways they chose to deal with this should not be criticised because for these people it’s a life sentence that will probably run for generations to come. My guess is that each member of the families will have their own opinions, some are going to express anger more then others and I’m sure will want to see closure on which is now a case of confusion and uncertainties and maybe there will always be doubts whatever is the final verdict and outcome as to the fate of the 2 Burmese men. I feel great pity for everyone involved.

You forgot to mention all the respectable families on Koh Tao that have to live with this travesty of injustice because of a vested interest or interests on the Island. Selling your moral soul for money cannot be an easy thing to do for anybody with a conscience. Hopefully the days are numbered when the average person in Thailand will not have to make a decision between whats right , and money.

  9. I've said that I will accept that the B2 are guilty, but only in the case that they are not alone. It's the only scenario that fits with your evidence against the B2 which you are adamant about and all of the evidence against Mon and Nomsod.

Why do you refuse to accept that Mon and Nomsod could have been involved? You dont think that they would have lied because when were accused of murdering 2 people? That's what you are basing your argument on, the word of 2 accused murderers??

What part of "I will accept anything that can be substantiated with verifiable evidence" is so difficult to grasp?

The problem is that when asking for it I get things like your "fact" that they were caught at the crime scene by CCTV, wishful thinking like "they could be involved", non-sequitors like "x amount of people agree with me" or convoluted, unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

Yes they do. The Earth is an oblate spheroid.
