  1. So he was racing and someone nearly hit him or more to the point he nearly hit someone because he was racing.

He had a gun on him and was w racing on a motorbike, was he racing to kill someone.

He had two mags of ammo, why?

He had no means of the motorbike being traceable as it had no number plate , why ?

Is this combination of questions just a bit too many for the RTP to put together.

  2. Alai wa,, Looks like I have been missing out on meeting some lovely rich, not wanting, but giving money ladies here in Rayong HAHAHA

But why does the report not show faces, or for that matter, even name the bar where this happened, or is Out Front the name of the bar on Ratbamrung Rd,

Which people exactly and why were those people banned from the Karaoke room, the young men or the ladies ???

  3. If you were on ten grand baht a month you miss out by 30 grand baht , so you must be in the middle income bracket ,aren't U lucky , a step in the right direction for low wage earners , however the wages structure in Thailand needs a complete overhaul , I paid well over what you'd pay in OZ for electricity last month , admittedly the 3hp Aircon split set for the dog worked 24/7, however, I notice consumer prices , fuel are all up , just how many checks and balances are done to ensure prices remain at or below inflation rate , is any body's guess, everything is ad hoc in Thailand ,without any structure, system or purpose to speak off , putting anyone earning less than 40 thousand baht a month at the poor end of the scale , of course the multinationals would hate to read this , because low wages are the only reason they are here, it can't be the weather............................................coffee1.gif .

Being a farang teacher in Thailand also has a major drawback in reference to this.

I have been teaching here now for about 5 years mostly in Government schools and I have been and am currently teaching in one of the top 10 universities in Thailand for 2 years. I thought I would be having an evaluation at the end of this year with the management ( but it will also be based on comments by the students apparently, in order to decide if or not I get a new contract, the same as in schools) which I was told a while back, would give me a pay rise, but I am now told that there are no increases for farangs, and if there are any, it will be up to the Government to award them as our staff salaries are Gov't paid.

The Thai staff regularly have promotional based increases and lots of little extra work bonuses.

The cost of living in Thailand has been going up while I have been here, but not generally the farang salaries in Government funded educational establishments.

NO wonder so many are f**king off to other SE Asian countries < Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar etc , where cost of living is cheaper and salaries can be much higher.

Finding myself dipping into the savings more and more each month , without chances of replenishment in order to feed and house the missus and kids. She is also working as a trainee manager at the local mall, Au Bon Pain shop, for many hours and a pittance of a salary( about 10k+ ), so probably would no qualify for this meagre handout either.

If it weren't for them, I would be out of here ASAP.

  4. There needs to be stricter controls on these mini buses, i.e. compulsory registration as commercial vehicle, annual checks & random checks of vehicle safety & operation, compulsory seat belts, passenger limit. Plus, there driver payment system needs to change, to force speed reductions by drivers. Some years back, was 1 of 12 passengers hurtling along on Bangna Express @ 170k p/h. Told driver to slow just laughed, reported to Police station & nothing occurred.

The Prayut Gov't needs institute program to more strictly control the minibus industry, it's a disgrace. Prayut espouses the principles of caring for Thai people, well, 11 Thai people senselessly lost their lives, so, Khun Prayut prove you care....do something!!

The last thing i would want to wear in an overturned and on fire minibus would be a seatbelt.

Real tough penalties for both drive and company if they are found at fault would save far more lives.

what is needed is motorway patrols with dedicated police who are willing to stop and instantly suspend these lunatic drivers, prosecute them for endangering the lives of others,

but its been going no for long now it in the Thai-ness book and therefor mai pen rai

OMG , can you imagine having Thai motorway patrol cops chasing after reckless drivers on the motorways and highways , it would be like watching a Keystone cops movie , perpetrators driving even more wildly trying to escape their pursuers.

Educational videos will help , as will a zero tolerance , no messing attitude by Law enforcers towards all perpetrators of bad road behaviour anf far heftier penalties for all , regardless of status.

RIP to all involved , was watching the story unfold last night , so tragic.

  5. The UN Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program Network = ( PNI ). How does that acronym work then???

OK, Own up, which English teacher taught the Thais the word 'Hub' ????

And the only thing I can see Thailand fast becoming is the Hub Of Acronyms. ( HOA )

I guess, that being that this news has actually come from the NNBoT, it must be believed. Or is it that they themselves, just truly believe that they can achieve this level of credibility??

"The TIJ will incorporate international guidelines into the Thai justice system for greater transparency, allowing independent watchdogs to probe its integrity."

"Having become a PNI member, Dr. Kittipong said Thailand will have an active role in the global community, particularly in fields related to legal developments and the improvement of the justice system for UN members nations"

JING LOHR????????, maybe someone should go tell the two Burmese guys, that everything is gonna be OK now, and that the investigation will be totally, transparently reviewed by independent watchdogs and that they will be going home to their families soon.

  6. Its not fair that so many people ( mostly Thais it would seem ) have been able to watch this, because I havent seen it bah.gif !!!!

So, on which Thai porn channel did they get to see this, and if they are so uptight about porn then wahy were they watching, as I am sure it wasnt on channel 3 or 7, Makes you think that all this complaining is purely because it was farangs as the stars in such a location.

  7. I not give my son learn English at school ,I teach him at home ,some of his friends learn English but not learn right. ,the teacher can't speak English, and 4 uniforms for 5 days ,unbelievable

I hope you teach your son better English than what you write.

And about the 4 uniforms, man that is ritch.

My son has vacation now too and you know what? He is playing everyday outside with his friends and uses atleast 3 sets of clothes a day.

A clean school uniform a day only means that the kids are dresed clean.

Maybe English is the posters second language? Give people a break, geesh. At least he is teaching his son rather than ignoring the need of it.

I would say there is a big clue in the guy's name to be honest "DUTCHISAAN ", Kind of gives it away doesn't it? And his English is certainly more understandable than many of the Thai English teachers he is talking about . So there is a bonus for his kid straight away!!!

  8. Paid 26.000 THB and 1600 for books and 2600 for uniforms. They called it English program, think it should been called Phillippine program.

Majority of english programs are a joke. Kids would be better using youtube to learn an hour a day.

I tried teaching Chemistry to upper level kids in an English program section of a school once.

The kids were coming in at M4 level but supposed to be tested for English ability before being allowed on the course. We did test in what was a pointless exercise , as they were allowed in anyway.

The levels of English were atrocious but the kids were allowed on the courses as the parents would have to pay more money, as no other school would have most of them, as their grades would have been low.

So it was a two choice option for the parents, pay more money, we know they cannot/ will not be fails , or take the kids out of school at M3 level, with little or no education to speak of and hanging around the house all day or doing worse if they're not in school.

Needless to say the classes became useless to teach as the kids just got bored listening to a teacher who they could largely not understand. This resulted in all the kids who could speak and understand English, also being distracted by kids fooling around in class.

  9. The actual original article reads like this:-

"The minister expressed regret for the incident and asked for an apology from the couple. The couple said they love Hua Hin and vowed to return"

It says that the minister expressed regret at the incident and asked for an apology from the couple.

    An apology for what exactly?
For being in the wrong street at the wrong time, and allowing themselves to be caught on CCTV while receiving their kicking, and thus further damaging the reputation of the tourism industry. Obviously a very badly worded misprint, I hope?

Obviously someone at TVN has realised the error in their relaying of the article and corrected it.

  10. O Yea! The land of smiles. There is no crime, rape and murder. Is this a paradise for criminals? Don't forget that the suspect must be a foreigner because Thais don’t commit crimes. Hope they learned a lesson with all the robberies that take place around the ATM’s

in Thailand and have at least a group of security men with shotguns around the loading of the ATM in the future. All the ATM's I have seen are changed from inside the bank! Seems a bit stupid changing them outside.

You have seen different ATMs then me.

All that I saw changing the money cartridge were opened from the front below the terminal/keyboard.

Watched this a couple of times in Central Plaza Khon Kaen.

But as far as I remember there was always at least two or more men engaged and a caliber .38.

The good old times are over.

This lax handling of cash money can not go on.

A female clerk carrying around 100'000s if not a million Baht, crazy.

On one my first visits to Thailand I was stunned to see a bank clerk opening the drawer of her desk filled with wades of cash blink.png

Feel free to correct me , but in places where there are machines not included as part of a building, i would imagine the external refill is the only way to fill them.

Where ATMs are located outside 7/11s, i would also imagine they are filled form outside the shop rather than inside the shop.

Near my home is a bank of 3 ATMs built into a wall, I imagine these are also filled externally too.
