  1. This week I plan to do my 90 day reporting and get the info from my old passport transferred to my new passport.

I know that for my 90 day reporting I need to go to Muang Thani Immigration office but I'm not sure which office to go to for the passport changeover.

Can someone please advise whether I need to go to CW or is it/can it be done at MT?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Replying to Scubascuba3  I thought the topic was about comparing the cost of courses across Thailand not comparing them with another country. 1250 baht for a round of golf here is pretty good in my opinion.

If I lived in the UK I'd be using additional matrix e.g. How many times could I reasonably play during the long, cold, dark, wet October - February period (certainly not 3 times a week on average); what about the additional cost of weather/water proof clothing; what sort of additional pressure would I be putting on my body pulling my own cart or carrying a bag and several more, like the cost of fuel to travel to the course; the availability of good showers; and the attitude of the retired bank managers, civil servants and colonels (also called the committee) with their old fashioned ideas about dress code on the course and in the club house.

So, in answering the original post I've restricted my feedback on the original question ("it could be interesting to see how other clubs compare " ) and offered my opinion on whether I find it comparatively good or not

  3. My next 90 day report is due on 9 November and I need to renew my Retirement Visa extension for another year by December 17.  Ideally I'd like to do both on the same day.

I'm pretty sure the dates work ok, so my question is about which location  - MT and CW (90 day at MT, Extension at CW), or just MT (for both) or just CW (for both) - and whether I can/need to make an appointment for both or either?

    Thanks in advance

This is not true.  There are numerous persons who are carriers, who are sick or, who have been exposed who, are not being counted.  Already, there are 660K persons under virus watch in Thailand.  Every expert in the world says, testing is an imperative.  It is most important because, you cannot simply 'open up,' the country when you do not know who is a carrier and who is asymptomatic.  We need to know these things or, the virus will rear its head again and sicken many more persons.  We are doing a good job right now.  But, this does not mean we should A. rush into 'normalcy' or, B. stop testing people.  Please Please Please we need to be consistent about this.  South Korea has been effective because, of their massive testing.  China stopped testing everyone, started re-opening and theirs numbers are going up, in Singapore the numbers are going up after, they started to open up too soon.  PLEASE DO NOT open up or, stop testing:(

Interesting number 660k   - 10% wish of the population.  Can you advise the source please.

  5. To all the cynics out there I could buy your points if you could show me pictures or reports on social media or elsewhere  of hospitals overwhelmed with people needing treatment, patients on trollies waiting to die, makeshift graves being dug or mass cremations, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters weeping about the death of a loved one, medics asking for more PPE or ventilators.  Thai folk are very social media savvy and if this was a really serious problem then it would be out there. I'm not sure why it isn't happening here but just be thankful you're not in Europe or the US now because it's mayhem there. Thank God I'm here

  6. Why not try a River Cruise? Not too many hisos but lots of people getting dressed up to enjoy a trip down the river, with a varied selection to eat and drink ( depending on your taste and needs) plus the advantage of seeing the fireworks displays at midnight from the riverside hotels and condos. Sounds a good compromise for you and your lady and not as expensive as downtown or riverside hotels. Will need to book soon though

“House owners, heads of household, landlords or managers of hotels who accommodate foreign nationals on a temporary basis who stay in the kingdom legally, must notify the local immigration authorities within 24 hours from the time of arrival of the foreign national."

Is there any significance in the words "on a temporary basis"?

I own my condo and live there permanently by extending my retirement visa every 12 months.

I did my 90 days reporting online a few weeks  ago and was not asked about TM30

A friend, in the same position as me, did an extension on his retirement visa without any request for TM30 either.

    Both at CW
