Hello All
Me and my Wife ( Thai with British Citizenship ) are handing in a Visa settlement application to VFS BKK yesterday for my step daughter, her child to enter the UK. On handing in the documents the lady said to my wife she has to complete VAF4A form.
Okay I can do this form, BUT question 2.16 on the form talks about a SU07/12 form to be completed and if not why?
Do we have to do this form SU07/12 ? or can I put NO to questions 2.16 & 2.17 and for the reason say " as I the sponsor am a house owner and have a full time job which earns over £30,000 a year and my wife ( mother ) has a part time job earning £9,000 a year"
I am in the UK now so will I have to sign this form and post it to her in BKK? My wife is in BKK handing the supporting documents.
The lady has taken all documents in, and said my wife has 18 days to submit form VAF4A.
thank you for any replies

Hello All
I am doing my wife's application for Naturalisation as a British Citizen, she has just passed Life in the UK Test yesterday.
For the application she also needs a Language Test Cert.
She has got the. Trinity College London Entry Level 3 ( B1 ).
She got this on 11 December 2013 for her ILR Visa.
Am I right that we can use this Cert?
Am I right it only Valid for 2 years which makes this 11 December 2015. Because of the new rules coming in on the 12 November 2015.
My Question is that. If we send of this application I will properly expire during the application, as the application could take until 4 months, does this matter???
I will be booking an appointment at a NCS place to check and send documents around 9 November 2015.
Thanking you all as always

Hello All
I know talking about Agents on this site can be touchy so I will be careful in what I say.
I would like to know if one chooses to take on an agent and pay for an agent, what exactly does an agent do for you in helping you with an application?
What are their required TO DO? Or is this a grey area?
In taking on an agent you as the client still have to get all paperwork and documentation together anyway. So with paying for an agent are you really paying for?

Hello All.
I am about 80% there in completing my step daughters settlement Visa to the UK, has anybody got any final tips or points to give me to add to the application to give it that boost.
Thanking you all as always.

Hello All
Me and my Wife would love to bring my step daughter ( my wives daughter ) to the UK on a Child Visitor Visa, thinking of doing 2 year visa as its the same price as a 1 year one. Thinking that when she is off on school holidays she could come here with us.
We would like this to happen in March 2015 as this is when their off school. So we can do the visa 3 months before so that's December, but we will need someone to do this for us in December as its all done online in Thailand. We cant get back to Thailand in December.
We are in Thailand October to get a passport sorted out for her. I was believing that she has to have a passport valid for 6 months before any visa entry.
So as we can't do her visa for her in December time, this is why we are thinking of getting an Agent based in Bangkok to do it for us.
I know its only paper.work..... I have done my wives Holiday Visa, then Spouse Visa, and then finally her ILR Visa.
But this is about time, we can't get back to Thailand in December, and even if we did, the cost of the air fights would outway the cost of an agent.
Please could I have your views on this, and if your an agent please give me your view as too
Thanking you All... as always my right hand guys.

My wife is at this stage now learning LifeinUK 3rd edition , we practice everynight before bed with the ipad, she has an app on her ipad, and I must say it works really well.
She has been a few time to do the test, but has failed, hopefully next time she will get it.
She has ILR, so she needs it for British Citizenship.
fingers crossed to all you guys and girls in the same boat as us, good luck everybody.

Hello All
My Report of the Day.
The Misses booked an appointment for today Thursday 20/02/2014 at 10.00am
We arrived at Euston Train Station in London 8.55 am
As soon as we got of the train we went downstairs to get a black cab to the Royal Thai Embassy on Queen's Gate SW7 5JB
from Euston Station to Thai Embassy it was £14.00 took about 15 minutes.
Arrived at Royal Thai Embassy 9.30am, had to go down these small steps to get inside the building.
As you go through the door, there is the chose of two tickets to get Blue or Pink, Blue was for Visas Only and Pink was for Passports, we took Pink for Passports.
We sat down, in front of us was 3 Windows 2 for Pink tickets, 1 for Blue tickets.
Waited about 10 minutes for our number to come up.
The wife went to the counter when our ticket number came up, and the man checked all the paperwork and except payment £25 + £8 admin fee total £33 to be paid in CASH.
We had to write down delivery address ( home address where the passport will be sent ) on an envelope.
He then gave back all paperwork so we could take it to another room, we sat down in the other room for 3 seconds, the nice lady took my wifes paperwork and told her to sit in front of her where she also checked paperwork and took finger prints and photo.
Then we left. We arrived 9.30am was outside in 50 minutes, it was perfect and quick and easy, no problems.
But! But! BUT! I was surprised to see so many English Men panicking in there with the process, but only because they had not got paperwork in order for the day. Soom Nam Nar
Okay !!!!
Oh yes don't forget to print of Form 1 and get the Wife to fill it in before you go, I printed of two extra just in case she made a mistake.
Just goto wait 6 - 8 weeks now.
Hope this helps everybody.

Just to recap, looking at the Thai Visa renewal
Cost is £25.00 cash only.
Documentation is just old passport, tabian ban or Thai ID Card
And to print off and fill in Form 1
Have I got it right chaps??? Doesn't say anything about photos??? Thought the misses might need more paperwork than just this???

Hello All
My Wife has a Thai Passport and she is living here with me in the UK, she has got her ILR and Residence Permit Card back in September this year. ( ps thank you again to all you guys for helping us with this )
But now her Thai Passport Expires 21 July 2014, my questions are.
What's the earliest she can get a new one from the Royal Thai Embassy London?
We would like to do it in February 2014, because we plan to goto Spain for a family wedding.
And was the Cost?
Paperwork needed ?
Do we need to book an appointment?
I have tried to look on the Thai Embassy London Website but getting lost and not sure if I am looking at the right pages.
Thank You
Alan

Is she a ladyboy?
-
Okay thank you.
So you set up a Thai PayPal account through the Krungsri Bank. Pay money from UK PayPal account to the Thai PayPal account. then transfer money from Thai PayPal to Krungsri Bank.
Am I right in thinking then the Thai PayPal account would be in my wife's name as it is with the Krungsri Bank?

Hello Everybody
I'm English and my wife is here living with me in the UK, she has a UK residence permit.
I have a PayPal Account to do with Ebay, and I was wondering if I can send money from PayPal to her Krungsri Bank in BKK, this Bank Account of hers has her family name still, does this make things a problem ???
Is it easy to do ???
If this is possible how do I go about sending the money over ???
What is the rate like??
Any information about this would be grateful,
Alan

Yes you get a receipt for the Premium Service showing payment, date, name, address etc. Which is only £1326 on the day because we already paid a £100 deposit to book the appointment.
Plus a letter head with all the information on there about what happens next. With ref number, dates, name etc. You get this letter at the end with all your documentation.
Something I did when I done Onns Holiday Visa ( VAF4A ) was to do an extra one for myself to keep, and I have done the same for the ILR SET(M) application, I done an extra one to keep for myself, as the applications have a lot of information on there for the future. Plus for dates it helped me to remember what I put on the first application I had done for the UK Border Agency.

Sorry about the other post.
We done the Online application here in the UK, then printed of the copy from the online site , paid the money and printed of the proof of payment.
We completed everything on the online site, I know this as everything was lit up green and with ticks.
I don't not why the lady at the desk has told my wife we have to complete this form which includes the SU07/12.
I suppose we do as the lady says and my wife can hand it in tomorrow.
