  1. After completing the online form, applicants will need to book an appointment online to submit their biometric information and visa application at the VFS UK visa application centre.

??? Applicants will need to book an appointment online to submit their biometric information ??? and visa application at the VFS

Sorry but where do we do the biometric test then??? I thought its is done at the VFS Regent House when you go to your appointment???

  2. Even if you do complete an online form and make an appointment you still have to print out the form, have the applicant sign it and present it with their supporting documents at the VAC.

Which does make one wonder about the need for completing an online application: other than doing so means one can make an appointment to submit documents, have biometrics taken etc.

At present I believe one can still turn up without an appointment; but see here.

Thanks 7by7 but still no clearer as to whether one can just turn up on the day, no appoints for after May 6th and all of june as well very confusing, Just going to turn up and take a chance...???/

Please keep us informed on how you get along, Im not liking the sound of no appointments in all of June. Am I correct in thinking that the appointment is for us to hand in the application or is it an interview with the loved one ??? Was hoping that doing an online application now would speed this along, maybe it takes time to get things moving.

  3. OK, great stuff, so we do the online application and then then print of this application once it has been sent, and like you say, then a trip to Regent House to hand in the other paperwork, oh and payment if not payed by the online site.

I think it should all work out sweet.

Getting excited now as time is getting closer for us.

I will let everybody know the date we hand in the Spouse Visa.

Thanx again for all who have helped with my questions

    Alan

  4. Spoke to James Beere today, and he has told me that Language Solutions has ended in Bangkok.

He said UKBA has put a stop to alot of companyies doing the A1 test, he also said that UKBA will be bringing out a new list of places to do the test.

Not sure what is going on really, Language Solutions gone , and Visa2go gone too.

Does anybody know anything more? All I want is my love to do the A1 test, then continue with our plans for her to come to the UK.

How many other people are in the same boat?

    Alan

  5. My wife done the UKBA approved EET (Elementry English Test) with Language Solutions Ltd They do the test once a month (at the end of the month) in Bangkok. The test for March is this Saturday!!!

They run their tests from The Connecion which is right at Lat Phrao MRT Station.

If you'd like to get your Mrs in for tomorrow's test, then call James Beere on 0844348080

    I recommend these guys.

There's more about my, and other peoples experiences with other tests in this thread:

There is also a list of some of the other UKBA approved testers here :

Is there a web site for this company at The Connecion??? I see the link goes to FB.

  6. Thats quick, 2 days to get the passport surname changed.

Am I correct in thinking that she would still get back her old passport with the corners cut off?????

As I feel this is important, because on her old passport it will have all her old visa stamps and showing trips to and from the UK, and we need this for the Spouse Visa Application.

  7. Hello All

Just wanted to let you all know the Big Plan :) . And if it helps anybody with ideas.

My GF is in the UK now on her Holiday Visa, she goes back to BKK at the end of this Month,

1 - When she is in BKK she will do her TB Scan and A1 English Test ( Listening & Speaking Test ).

2 - I Arrive BKK, couple Months later.

3 - Early Monday morning arrive British Embassy, to hand in Affirmation of Freedom to Marry.

4 - Next Day back to British Embassy to collect AFM.

5 - Get all translations done, and copies into English just incase needed in the UK at a later date.

6 - Ministry of Foreign Affairs for legalisation of AFM

7 - District Office to get Married

8 - Then to VFS to hand in Spouse Visa Form.

    9 - Relax, with a cold beer.

Sounds so easy, hope it all goes well. Thanx again to you all for you help, and this site.

  8. you have to fill out spouse form on line your g/f can do this and give you the log in details so you can help fill it in makes the process a lot easier.

affirmation freedom to marry if submitted in the morning you can collect in the afternoon there is normally some translators waiting outside for you business

ministry of foriegn affairs is on the other side of town so best to go the next day as can take a few hours to process there's a food hall there to go to while you wait

once you have all docs stamped go to any ampur and register no vows just signatures you can have a ceremony before or after upto your wife a ceremony is good you can add these photos to your application

I've been looking for the SET03 Spouse Visa Form, but with no joy. Wanted to see, read and print off the form.

Can you only fill in the Form on-line ? And can only be done in Thailand.

    Anybody know the link?

    Alan
