Why does only half get paid?
Living in Thailand from the 65 pension start, the law says NO increment increases, so an old age pension then of 89 pound a week, is still the same. IF I lived in Phil, I would get full pension of approx 169 pond a week.

I have lived here 18 years, Issan. Bought a new car, motor cycle, rent a super bungalow with fab garden. Single person. From 65 UK pay only half my pension, rent 6,000 per month. no matter what replies I get, I live on 20k baht a month. eat well, cook at home, shop at local Tesco express. Home person Not smoke or drink, no sitting in a plaza wait for die drinking coffee ha ha. Just to add at 78 cannot get medical insurance here, according to them I must have already died.

The best thing Thailand can do at this time is to give massive discounts for all --- hotels, flights, bus, rail. Domestic ONLY. FORGET all these stupid quarantine - come with a million dollars Ha Ha. get your flights full, hotels staffed, rail and bus booked . Until all countries are free off the corvid forget the international travel.

Same with me, but if we returned in a rubber boat in the dover area, they give you a bus ride to a 4 star hotel free inclusive of food and cash illegal immigrants human rights Ha Ha Ha,,,,,us pensioners have no human rights. in fact we are saving the UK vast amount of money, no winter payments, no free transport, not using the NHS and doctors, etc,, BUT yet they freeze our pension,, that should be illegal.

I totally understand where you are coming from. And wouldn't defend the actions of dumping or burning etc. But can you tell me what the weekly rubbish collection by the authorities is like. I ask as in my in laws village that all do the same as you mentioned, but there is absolutely no centralised or regular collection of rubbish so they are all left to get rid of it by themselves and most of them as you have observed do this badly. Perhaps some investment and regular collection of rubbish is needed.
In my village years ago we separated all rubbish and took it to a re cycle lady in the town, she PAID for all you took. she weighed all items and paid by the kilo

Tell him he will have to stay at a 5 star resort Phuket, free for 2 weeks quarantine.

If things are that bad, turn the hotel into condos and sell each room at a low price, cash for you and low price for buyers, some of you have had years of big money. Cash in and sell.

Its deeper than the English Channel ---where much larger subs roam, and anyway they will be deployed in the Andaman Sea
But No I don't think they are needed.................but who knows just maybe they will find MH370
If you do not know DO NOT guess, gulf of Thai is shallower than the English channel gulf 85ft to 290ft,

In reality a sub needs a decent depth to swim around in, the Gulf does NOT have the depth. But you need these toys really when you have very hostile neighbours 5555555

Many people fail to understand that Thai people are learning English as a second language and NOT first language.
It's perfectly normal not to speak perfect English as long as people can understand them.
I've known many foreigners who still can't speak perfect Thai after many years of studying Thai.
But they are not wanna be Thai speaking teachers. Over 90% of foreigners cannot speak fluent Thai MOST do not study Thai.

So you would prefer to force a return to martial law, in full with the army on the streets.
Those that do not like the heat should get out of the kitchen.
Maybe a good idea to get the army in , send then to supermarkets to stop the gatherings of stupid fighting Muay Thai style to grab beer and other drinks.
-
No gatherings, no beach, limited walking BUT at Makro and Tescos and other outlets MAYHEM, everyone bunched together fighting to get beer of the pallets, just ridiculous, this is not a complaint it is happening.
