  1. From two weeks to one month (Revenue Office Surat Thani)
  2. Sure, I also paid online, I got the receipt of my payment and asked R.O. 21 (declaration of thax paid) and R.O. 22 (declaration of fiscal residence) that had sent to me by mail. I did not look for a specific receipt of submission.
  3. This is the second year I've filed my taxes online (pension only). The previous tax return is automatically displayed, and you just need to make the changes. It's very quick and easy, no problem.
  4. Phuket. Every year I am doing, in Phuket, my extension without agent and without any problem, but everyone has their own way of measuring the difficulties...... What about a non-O obtained in Europe for 90 days and a subsequent re-entry for 30 (or 60) days visa exempt ?
  5. I think it would be difficult for him to be qualified for DTV. He just had his first annual extension based on non-O, and he is astonished from all the paper and time involved in this. Maybe he's not so familiar with Thai bureaucracy....... So now he's looking for a simpler process, and he's saying that it is easy for him obtaining the non-O in his country, and would like to find the way to increase his staying from 90 to 120 days.
  6. He prefers to avoid the bureaucracy and documents necessary for the annual extension, and is looking for alternatives. It seems that obtaining the non-O in his country is rather simple.
  7. Person over 50, from Europe. What's the best and easiest way to spend four months a year, every year, in Thailand? One option could be a retirement non-O visa obtained in his country and at the end of 90 days leaving Thailand and re-entering without a visa to have another 60 days (or 30 if they will be reduced)? In this way could he run into problems over the years? Any other suggestions?
  8. In Phuket my 90 days online after returning from abroad was accepted in January 2025, and was accepted again one month ago. Things never stop changing......
  9. federicoP posted a topic in Phuket
Any suggestions on a company that can do maintenance or replace a roof covering made with sheets of tar paper like in this photo?
  10. I understand that the first 90-day notification, after returning from abroad, should always be submitted in person. I tried submitting it online anyway, and after a couple of hours, it was accepted. Here are my details: Original non-O retirement visa, staying permit renewed annually. Returned to Thailand on October 16, 2025. Notification submitted online on January 5, 2026 (9 days before the 90-day deadline). My local immigration office: Phuket.
  11. I had a joint account with my wife at SBC, opened about twenty years ago, without any problem. But I had to close it because with a joint account it was not possible to use the app on the phone.
  12. I buy from M Phuket Landscape, near the Chalong Temple, they are not very close to you but have a very good choice of plants. Ready-to-lay grass does not last a lot when stored, so call them before going to make sure that they have the quantity you need when you go. Please note that your grass looks to be the kind they call "Malaysia grass"
  13. Last January a booked an international flight with Thai Airways using my passport valid at that time. After one week I received my new passport and updated my passport data on the Thai internet site (Changes to passenger information). No cost and no need to travel with two passeports.
  14. This is exactly what I would like to avoid: if I have Euro I would like to send them directly, not to change them to Baht and change back to Euro
  15. You posted in a wrong forum, to ger more answers better to post in : Thailand Visa and Immigration forum > Thai Visa, Residency and Work Permits
  16. Thanks, a few years ago I contacted Siam Commercial Bank but they told me that to get back my dollars or euros they would first have to change them into baht and then back into dollars or euros, which involves a double currency exchange.....
  17. Is there any thai bank where you can open a foreign currency account and also use that account to transfer money (in that currency) to other countries, without having to first change it into baht and then exchange it back for into the original currency?
  18. Wrong.....This guy sounds right on the money to me... Redwood1, could you please be so kind to explain me what I did write "wrong" ? I cannot understand but would like to know what is my mistake.
  19. Since the Swiss pension, unless it is a state pension, is taxable in Thailand, I would strongly suggest you do the calculations and check if your friend has to pay anything. This is to avoid possible future problems, an official who says that the tax would be "very small" and that "other things that could be deducted are likely higher", only shows his superficiality and incompetence
  20. Don't get discouraged, do you remember the officer sitting in the old room at the corner desk? He once kicked me out throwing away my passport because I made a mistake on a form, without telling me what my mistake was. And the other guy in uniform who was hanging around the people in line "being funny" ? Now these things don't happen anymore, at least I hope... Next year try with the reservation, hoping that this system, which strangely almost no one uses, remains in force
  21. This is the Immigration site : http://www.phuketimmigration.go.th/index.php And this is the page to book the appointment: https://outlook.office365.com/book/[email protected]/ The day before the appointment Immigration even sent me a reminder email.... When the guy came out to give the numbers before opening, he did not give me any number and said : just present you at your booked time !
  22. I have not had such a bad experience as yours. I had booked the appointment at 8.30 via the web and (to my surprise......) they immediately let me go through the first check, where young, very kind and efficient guys work. Traditional trip to the photocopies for a copy of the marriage certificate and a Google map printout with the coordinates (on the copy I had presented I had written the coordinates by hand, this is not good.....) Then the second check, and finally passing in front of the officer, not so friendly but not rude either, very precise and correct. I took advantage of the opportunity to entrust them with the reentry paperwork (+700 baht for a multiple, for the service) and after less than an hour I was out. The only thing I don't like about the new system is having to wait packed in that small crowded room with air conditioning. Waiting outside under the shelter, on the benches, was certainly more pleasant. But everyone has their own personal experience, maybe next year for me it will be worse :-)-
  23. Since I renewed the extension at Phuket Immigration today, I answer to myself: For the renewal of the extension for the dependent partner, in the case of foreign couples, photographs inside the house are not necessary but only the usual photo of the couple outside, with visible house number.
  24. Could be a good idea, but I think he would not like to put other 800k in the bank.... How long has this non o dependent that can be requested abroad existed? I didn't know about it, and in 2021 I did without it
