A friend of mine is in Thailand with annual extension based on a non O retirement visa. Now his wife has arrived from Europe with a non O retirement visa too (obtained abroad) , and they went to Phuket Immigration to ask a "dependent" extension for the wife. At Immigration they have been told that to get the "dependent" extension she should have entered the country with a non O "dependent" visa and not with a non O "retirement" Does what they told her make any sense?

I have been told that in Phuket, for the annual extension based on non-O- retirement dependent for the foreign partner, in addition to the well-known picture of the happy couple at the entrance of the house, now 3 more photographs of the couple inside the house are required. Has anyone had recent experience, in Phuket, on this topic?

TM30 Online - receipt?
federicoP replied to drbrit's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Go to the page with the list of the last notifications, expand the line with the name (there is a small lens symbol), at the right bottom of the new page there is the command "export". -

Yes, you'll think about it next year -
My experience (at Phuket Immigration): - Stamps trasferred with no problem and no cost, they only asked me a complete copy of old passport and first page of the new one. - 90 days online did not work, had to do it in person at the drive in counter, five minutes. - I asked about TM30, after consultation they said me that it was better a new one, and I did it online. - Registration for online services (90 days and TM30) unchanged

The smartest person, who has always helped me with my taxes, is a middle-aged man who is in the row of desks that you find in front of you when you enter, in the desk furthest to the left. It seems that he is the one who usually follows the foreigners, try contacting him. I had the TIN for ten years before having to file my first tax return, I do not believe that it is necessary to pay taxes before having a TIN.....

Transfer of visa stamp to new passport
federicoP replied to DickThrust's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You could have some problem if, before your next renewal, you have a 90 days notification. My 90 days online has been rejected because of a new passport number not yet registered in their file. -
In Phuket I use a rental contract between the company that owns the house and myself. The contract is signed by my wife as the director of the company and by me as the tenant. It is the same rental contract that I use for the annual balance of the company.

My technique is slightly different: baguette stored in the freezer, 30 seconds in the microwave and 5 minutes in the oven at 150 degrees, perfect as if freshly baked! In the freezer I always keep a good supply of baguettes, I am in Nai Harn and for me the best are those from Chez Nous, near the lagoon.

Answer a bit late, but could be still interesting for someone. Why don't you give some more information, Google does not tell anything about "Rawai Beach Furniture" or "Teak and More" ?

I am using this on my PC: https://tm30.immigration.go.th/ Last time used ten days ago

Hello, I need to change some air conditioners in my house in Rawai. Any suggestion about some good, expert, honest, etc. person that I could contact not far from my area ?

I have been in a similar situation for many years with a non-O visa for retirement. One visit a year to immigration to renew the annual permit and that's it. Make sure your annual permit expires during a period when you will be in Thailand. Evaluate your tax situation to decide whether to stay more than six months in one country rather than in the other. Of course, if you plan to leave Thailand several times, remember to apply for a multi-entry permit

Phuket Board Calls for Enhanced Waste Separation Management
federicoP replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
In the past, in our area, scavengers were used to open the black bags to see if inside there were some recyclables, leaving a lot of mess all around. Now we separate waste from recyclables and put them inside transparent bags, so they can immediately see where is something useful. They do not need to open all the bags and do not leave (almost) any mess. -
My first recommendation is to remove the images of the street from Vietnam (3.22) and of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (3.34) which is located in Singapore and that have nothing to do with Phuket, the second recommendation is to answer to this question : what is the need for this video?

It seems to me that the main problem here is not whether the motorbike or the car was right, but the fact that two people were involved in an accident where a motorcyclist flew to the ground and their first concern was to make sure that the their car had not been damaged. Whether they are foreigners, Russians, or something else, and that many Thais would also have behaved in the same way, it doesn't matter: they are two mean people who deserve shame.

My friend that was exactly in your situation has received the email reminder and went directly to the drive-in where they put a new slip starting from that day. Beyond useless discussions, I think we can conclude that in Phuket until recently the 90 days started from the last extension, now they start from the last notification. A warning for those who have to make the extension to Phuket, and are used to the old system, check your 90 days slip !!!

I renewed my extension at Phuket Immigration on the 5th of March and they fixed in my passport a new 90 days report slip asking me to notify after 90 days starting from the 5th of March. Same thing happened to me in the last ten years (always Phuket). But a friend of mine, that renewed in the middle of March, had the same problem of Livingnthailand. Maybe a recent change in Phuket Immigration policy ?
